Tyler Johnston (born June 14, 1987) is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his role as Stewart on the comedy series Letterkenny [1] and Danny Lubbe in Less Than Kind . [2]

Johnston's credits include appearances in the television series The Killing , Grand Star , Supernatural , [3] Motive , Saving Hope , and Godiva's , and the films The Odds, [4] The Phantoms , and Decoys 2: Alien Seduction .

Johnston was a nominated in the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category for Less Than Kind at both the 1st Canadian Screen Awards and the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards. In 2014, he was also nominated in the Best Lead Actor in a Television Film or Miniseries category for The Phantoms. [5] In 2016, he was nominated by the Montreal International Wreath Film Festival Awards in the Best Actor category for his role as Edward K. Wehling, Jr. in the short film 2BR02B: To Be or Naught to Be , based on the story of the same name by Kurt Vonnegut.

Less Than Kind is a 2008–2013 Canadian television comedy-drama series that stars Jesse Camacho as Sheldon Blecher, a teenager growing up in a loving but dysfunctional Jewish family in Winnipeg. The show's cast also includes Maury Chaykin and Wendel Meldrum as Sheldon's parents, Benjamin Arthur as his older brother Josh, and Nancy Sorel as his aunt Clara. The Blechers struggle to operate a driving school out of their home in Winnipeg's fading North End. Less Than Kind made its debut October 13, 2008, on Citytv, and moved to HBO Canada in February 2010.

He is best known for creating and starring in the comedy series Letterkenny (2016–2023), which won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Comedy Series in 2017.
