Zink won the 2019 US Open – Boys' doubles title with fellow American Eliot Spizzirri. [1] Zink plays college tennis at Oklahoma State University. [2]

His career high ATP doubles ranking of 308 was achieved in August 2023.

Zink won the 2023 Lexington Challenger in doubles championship with Elliot Spizzirri.

Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated the defending champion Bruno Soares and his partner Jamie Murray in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 6–2 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. It was the second major title for Ram and Salisbury as a team, following the 2020 Australian Open. Ram and Salisbury saved four match points en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell.

Eliot Spizzirri and Tyler Zink were the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2019, however both players were no longer eligible to participate in junior events. Spizzirri and Zink received a wildcard in the men's doubles event, where they lost in the first round.
