The UC San Diego Tritons baseball team is the college baseball program that represents the University of California, San Diego. The Tritons compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big West Conference (BWC). The team plays their home games at Triton Ballpark.
The Tritons have made several appearances in the Division II tournament, mostly under the leadership of former head coach Dan O'Brien. The Tritons reached the Division II College World Series for the First time in 2009, finishing fourth. In 2010, the Tritons enjoyed their most successful season to date, compiling a record of 54–8, and reaching the Division II national championship where they eventually fell. [3]
The UC San Diego baseball team plays its home games at Triton Ballpark in La Jolla, which was renovated in 2014. [4] In 2005, the Tritons were the CCAA league champions. In 2007 and 2008, they reached the NCAA West Regionals. In 2009, after winning the CCAA league and CCAA tournament, they advanced to the NCAA Division II College World Series under the leadership of coach Dan O'Brien and infielder Vance Albitz, where they placed fourth. In 2010, they were the College World Series runners-up and the CCAA league and tournament champions. In 2011 and 2012, they repeated as CCAA league and tournament champions, again reaching the NCAA West Regionals. They won the CCAA tournament in 2014 as well. [5] In 2017, they were CCAA tournament runners-up and NCAA West Region champions, and placed second in the College World Series. [6]
Triton baseball, like most UCSD athletic programs, transitioned to the NCAA Division I Big West Conference beginning in 2020. They will not be eligible for the Division I College World Series until the reclassification period ends. [7]

The San Diego State Aztecs are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent San Diego State University. The Aztecs compete in NCAA Division I, as a member of the Mountain West Conference (MW). San Diego State University sponsors 17 teams at the varsity level.

The UC Irvine Anteaters baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of the University of California, Irvine. The team's home venue is Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark located on campus in Irvine, California. UC Irvine baseball has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big West Conference since the start of the 2002 season which was the Anteaters' first season of play following the university's decision to revive its baseball program after the sport had been dropped following the 1992 season.
The Santa Clara Broncos baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team that represents Santa Clara University in NCAA Division I college baseball. Santa Clara Baseball competes in the West Coast Conference, of which the Santa Clara Broncos were a charter member. The Broncos play their home games on campus at Stephen Schott Stadium, which opened in 2005. The Broncos and are led by head coach Rusty Filter, currently in his fifth season.
The UC Riverside baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of California, Riverside, located in Riverside, California, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big West Conference since the start of the 2002 season. The program's home venue is the Riverside Sports Complex, located on the university's campus. Justin Johnson serves as the team's interim head coach starting with the 2021 season. The program has won two Division II national championships. It has appeared in four Division II College World Series and 12 NCAA tournaments. It has won eight California Collegiate Athletic Association championships and one Big West Conference championship. As of the start of the 2013 Major League Baseball season, 16 former Highlanders have appeared in Major League Baseball.

Daniel Peter O'Brien is an American baseball coach who currently works in the player development department of the San Francisco Giants organization. He was named to that position prior to the 2018 season. He previously coached Santa Clara University and the University of California, San Diego's baseball programs.
Charity Dawn Elliott is an American basketball coach currently serving as the head women's basketball coach at Point Loma Nazarene University. She was the women's basketball team head coach at Loyola Marymount University from 2012 to 2021. She has previously been the women's head basketball coach at Portland State, UC San Diego, and California Baptist.

The UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball program represents the University of California San Diego in National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I level as a member of the Big West Conference. UC San Diego basketball plays its home games at Liontree Arena in La Jolla.
The 2017 NCAA Division II baseball tournament was the 50th edition of the NCAA Division II baseball tournament. The 56-team tournament decided the champion of baseball in NCAA Division II for the 2017 season. The West Chester Golden Rams claimed their second national title, their first being in 2012. In the final, West Chester defeated the UC San Diego Tritons. The Tritons were also in their second final, having also been the national runners up in 2010. West Chester pitcher Josh McClain was named the tournament's most outstanding player.
The 2019 NCAA Division II baseball tournament decided the champion of baseball at the NCAA Division II level for the 2019 season. the Tampa Spartans won their eighth national championship in program history by defeating the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, who were playing in their second national championship. Head Coach Joe Urso won his fifth national championship in his tenure at Tampa. This tournament also introduced a super regional round to the tournament as the eight regionals were instead split into sixteen. Following which, the regional champions would face off in a best-of-three super regional, the winners of the super regionals would then advance to the College World Series.
The 2015 NCAA Division II baseball tournament decided the baseball champion of the NCAA Division II level for the 2014 season. The Screaming Eagles of the University of Southern Indiana won their second national championship as led by head coach Tracy Archuleta. The Screaming Eagles defeated the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University in the national championship. Southern Indiana pitcher Matt Chavarria was named most outstanding player of the tournament.
Eric Olen is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the UC San Diego Tritons.
The 2020–21 UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball team represented the University of California, San Diego in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tritons, led by 8th-year head coach Eric Olen, were in their first season at the NCAA Division I level and played their games at RIMAC Arena as a member of the Big West Conference. Because of the transition period, games in the Big West did not count towards the standings or conference record, and the Tritons were ineligible for the postseason, including the Big West tournament.

Jack Harter Larsen is an American professional baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He played college baseball for the UC San Diego Tritons. The Seattle Mariners signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners.
