UZINFOCOM is a single integrator for creation and support of state information systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was established in 2002, by the Decree [1] of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Unitary Enterprise Center for the Development and Implementation of Computer and Information Technologies UZINFOCOM under the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Informatization (UzACI).

The first websites of the main organizations of the Republic were written by UZINFOCOM specialists. In 2009, UZINFOCOM became the operator of the first data processing center (DPC) in the country (dc.uz). Also, UZINFOCOM is the technical operator of the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the electronic government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and provides the operation of the single portal of interactive state services my.gov.uz (EPIGU), the virtual reception of the President (pm.gov.uz), and the portal of public opinion meningfikrim.uz

Projects

In 2022, the UZINFOCOM team started developing an open source solution for the Xinux operating system based on the Linux kernel. [11]

It is a member-driven organization with membership open to all that hold a .ca domain. As of March 2023, there were more than 3.3 million active .ca domains.

Registrations are taken directly at the second level, but the former registry also advertised the availability of registrations at the third level beneath co.uz and com.uz, and some domain names under other second-level names such as org.uz also exist.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is a body of the Government of Uzbekistan that is charged with the internal affairs of Uzbekistan and oversees the national police. The Ministry of Internal Affairs was founded on 25 August 1991. It replaced the Soviet Interior Ministry. The current Minister of Internal Affairs is Pulat Bobojonov. The ministry holds joint control over the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also administers the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is the official educational institution of the ministry.

The Uzbek Ground Forces are the land component of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Operating since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the army is made up of former Soviet Army units that were in the territory of Uzbekistan. As of 2006, it had around 40,000 active personnel. Much of the equipment it uses is also old Soviet material, and the government of Uzbekistan has not given much effort to replace it with modern equipment.
