Under the Influence is the fourth studio album by American men's singing group Straight No Chaser. It was released in the US on May 7, 2013, and peaked at number 28 on the U.S. Billboard 200. In 2014, the album was reissued as a version called the Under the Influence (Ultimate Edition), which included the all tracks from the original album and the Holiday Edition EP.

Holiday Edition

Later the same year, Straight No Chaser released a follow-up holiday EP titled Under the Influence: Holiday Edition on October 29, 2013, teaming up with several featured artists, such as Paul McCartney, Colbie Caillat, CeeLo Green, and the late Otis Redding. [3] This EP reached number 33 on the Billboard 200, and number 4 on the Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart. [4]

For the 2014 holiday season, the group recorded a new comedic holiday duet titled "Text Me Merry Christmas" with Kristen Bell, and reissued the EP to include the track. [5]

Jessica Rose James Decker is an American country pop singer-songwriter, former reality television personality, and entrepreneur. Straight No Chaser (SNC) is a professional American a cappella group that originated in 1996 at Indiana University. Originally a student group at Indiana University, they recorded a video in 1998 of a comical version of "The 12 Days of Christmas". The founding members all graduated, to be replaced by other students, in 1999. In 2007, the 1998 video went viral on YouTube, and subsequently led to a reunion of the founding members and a five-album record deal with Atlantic Records in 2008. The YouTube video has been viewed over 24 million times.

Pentatonix is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, currently consisting of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. The group won the third season of The Sing-Off in 2011, and subsequently received a recording contract with Sony. In June 2012, Pentatonix released their first extended play, PTX, Volume 1 through Sony-owned independent record label Madison Gate Records. The EP debuted at number 14 on the US Billboard 200, selling 18,401 copies in its first week of sales. A Christmas EP, PTXmas, was released in November 2012.
