The Ogden campus has the Kenneth Burdett School for the Deaf and a School for the Blind, with about 50 students total. [1] The USBD main administrative offices are located at the Ogden campus. [2] This campus has dormitories that they refer to as "the Cottages" which are used for graduated students who need help transitioning into a world designed for the hearing and seeing. Students can stay in them until they reach the age of 22. The USDB states they can house "A very limited number of students". [3] In the 1980s, Ogden used to host boarders of all ages at the deaf school, though some students stayed with host families. [4]
The Jean Massieu School of the Deaf in Salt Lake City integrated into the USDB after being founded as a charter school in 1999. [5]
The Elizabeth DeLong School of the Springville Campus is in Springville. [6] Its construction begin in March 2019 and was completed in October 2020. [7] Jacoby Architects designed the school, which cost $13 million. [8]
In 1997 USDB gave a contract to Wasatch Transportation for school transportation services, leading to a protest from Quality Busing, their previous contracted service, which was not awarded the contract. [9]

Richard Charles Watkins, an immigrant from Bristol, England, was an American architect throughout the intermountain west in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In his early career, he interned with Richard K.A. Kletting in Salt Lake City. In 1890, he came to Provo, Utah as a construction supervisor, and opened his own firm in 1892. When he left nearly 20 years later he had become the most prominent architect south of Salt Lake City, Utah. His works include designing over 240 schools in the intermountain west of the United States including. He served as the architect for Utah State Schools between 1912 and 1920. He also designed businesses, courthouses, eight Carnegie libraries, churches and homes. A number of his buildings survive and are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
