V is the sixth studio album by the band Live, released in 2001. It featured the singles "Simple Creed" and "Overcome", the latter of which received significant exposure following the September 11 attacks.

History

The collection of songs that became V was never intended to be released as an album. Guitarist Chad Taylor said, "The goal was to prepare songs for the next studio session. MCA got a hold of the material and pushed us to call it an album." The songs were originally going to be released free to fans as a collection called Ecstatic Fanatic. The tracks included two songs featured in films released prior to the release of V, "Forever May Not Be Long Enough", written for the closing credits of The Mummy Returns , and "Deep Enough", which appears in the opening of The Fast and the Furious because director Rob Cohen was a fan of Live. Taylor would later express dismay at the label's disinterest in promoting those two songs, particularly in light of the box office success of both films. [6] V only reached number 22 on the album chart in the US and failed to attain gold status, despite reasonably positive reviews.

Forever is the third studio album by English girl group the Spice Girls, released on 1 November 2000 by Virgin Records. It is their only album without Geri Halliwell, who later rejoined the group for their Greatest Hits album in 2007. Despite failing to match the commercial success of the group's two previous albums, Forever peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Worldwide the album has sold over two million copies, a fraction of what Spice and Spiceworld sold. The lead and only single, the double A-side "Holler" and "Let Love Lead the Way", went on to debut at number one on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group's ninth number one single. <i>Hydrograd</i> 2017 studio album by Stone Sour

Hydrograd is the sixth and most recent studio album by American rock band Stone Sour. Recorded at Sphere Studios in Los Angeles, it is the follow-up to the band's 2012–2013 double concept album, House of Gold & Bones Part 1 and 2. It was released worldwide on June 30, 2017 via Roadrunner Records. Hydrograd also had a special album premiere with commentary on each song from frontman Corey Taylor on June 29, 2017 on Octane. Two singles were released in promotion of the album ahead of its release: "Fabuless" and "Song #3". A third single, "Rose Red Violent Blue ", was released on September 13, 2017. On October 24, 2017, Hydrograd won the award for Hard Rock Album of the Year at the Loudwire Music Awards. On April 4, 2018, the album's fourth single, “St. Marie” was released. Hydrograd is the first album to be produced without founding guitarist Jim Root, as he departed Stone Sour in 2014 to focus more on his and Corey's other band Slipknot. On August 23, 2018, the album's fifth single, "Knievel Has Landed" has been released. Hydrograd is the last album the band released before they entered an indefinite hiatus in 2020.

Live Around the World is the second live album by Queen + Adam Lambert, released on 2 October 2020 by Hollywood Records in North America and EMI worldwide. It is a compilation of songs performed at various shows between June 2014 and February 2020. The album was also released on DVD and Blu-ray with additional songs omitted on the CD and vinyl releases.
