Ohio County is a county located in the Northern Panhandle of the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,425. Its county seat is Wheeling. The county was formed in 1776 from the District of West Augusta, Virginia. It was named for the Ohio River, which forms its western boundary with the state of Ohio. West Liberty was designated as the county seat in 1777, serving to 1797.

Iaeger High School in Iaeger, West Virginia was a Grade 9 through 12 High School, part of the McDowell County Schools District. It was located in the city of Iaeger and offered a wide range of academics and athletics to students including certain college and AP classes, along with football, baseball, golf, softball, volleyball, and basketball. Iaeger High School closed after the 2009-2010 school term and consolidated with nearby Big Creek High School to form Riverview High School.

In 1967, it moved from its original location to its current location at 400 Stanaford Road.

Stonewall Jackson High School was a high school in Kanawha County, West Virginia. It opened in 1940 and closed in 1989. It was located on the West Side in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1989, Stonewall Jackson High School and Charleston High School consolidated to become Capital High School. The building is now a middle school.

Baileysville is an unincorporated community in Wyoming County, West Virginia, United States. Most of the town was purchased by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in the 1960s and 1970s for construction of the R. D. Bailey Lake. The Post Office was closed in 1973. The geographic name lived on in the local high school, Baileysville High School, which served a regional area and was actually located outside of the town proper. The school was closed in 2002 after consolidating with nearby Oceana High to form Westside High School.
Liberty High School, alternately referred to as Liberty-Raleigh or Liberty of Raleigh, is a consolidated high school in rural Raleigh County, West Virginia, located in the town of Glen Daniel, West Virginia. The names of Liberty and its sister school and rival Independence High School reflect the fact they were both built in 1976, the U.S. Bicentennial. Liberty was always intended to incorporate the previous Trap Hill, Clear Fork, and Marsh Fork high schools, but legal wrangling kept the later two from consolidation until the 1990s. Liberty currently has over 500 students. The school nickname is Raiders and its colors are red, black, and white.
Independence High School is a consolidated high school in rural Raleigh County, West Virginia, located in the town of Coal City, West Virginia. The names of Independence and its sister school and rival Liberty High School reflect the fact they were both built in 1976, the U.S. Bicentennial. Independence consolidated the former Stoco and Sophia high schools and currently has over 600 students. The school nickname is Patriots and its colors are red, white, and blue.
