Vasco Maria Palmeirim Peres Gomes (born 29 August, 1979) is a Portuguese radio announcer and television presenter. [2]
Palmeirim studied Social Communication at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University.
He was part of the team at Canal Q, Produções Fictícias' cable channel, where he presented A Costeleta de Adão with Ana Markl between 2011 and 2014. He also presented the RTP 1 program Feitos ao Bife, replacing Catarina Furtado, and the program Sabe ou Não Sabe.
Palmeirim is best known for hosting Manhãs da Comercial on Rádio Comercial with Pedro Ribeiro, Nuno Markl – with whom he also hosted PRIMO (Programa Realmente Incrível Mas Obtuso) on the same radio station–Vera Fernandes and Elsa Teixeira.
Between 2014 and 2023, he presented the talent show The Voice Portugal, with Catarina Furtado, and since 2019, he has been one of the presenters of the RTP Song Festival, both in RTP1.
He also does dubbing and writes lyrics.
Vasco Palmeirim is the son of Manuel Luís Peres da Silva Newton Gomes, a musician and orchestra director, and Maria José Pacheco Palmeirim, a ballet master at the Ballet national company. [3]
Palmeirim married Bárbara Magalhães on 29 September, 2018, with whom he has two sons, Tomás, born 2015, and Matias, born 2020. [4]

RTP organised the national final Festival da Canção 2017 in order to select the Portuguese entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. After two semi-finals and a final which took place in February and March 2017, "Amar pelos dois" performed by Salvador Sobral emerged as the winner after achieving the highest score following the combination of votes from seven regional juries and a public televote.

In April 2019, RTP1 announced a reboot of the show, which was set to premiere in 2020, but ended up being postponed due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
Flor sem Tempo is a Portuguese telenovela produced by SP Televisão and broadcast by SIC. It premiered on 30 January 2023. The telenovela is written by Inês Gomes with the collaboration of Cândida Ribeiro, Rita Roberto, Ana Casaca, Ana Vasques, José Pinto Carneiro e Manuel Carneiro. It stars Bárbara Branco, Francisco Froes, Albano Jerónimo, Maria João Bastos, Joana Santos, Luís Esparteiro, Cristina Homem de Mello and José Wallenstein.
The 2023 Portuguese Socialist Party leadership election was held on 15 and 16 December 2023. The leadership ballot was called after Prime Minister and Socialist Party Secretary-General António Costa resigned from office on 7 November 2023. The winner of this election will lead the Socialist Party into the 2024 legislative election.
