Vaughn Dale Armstrong (born July 7, 1950) is an American actor. He is noted for portraying many characters in the Star Trek franchise, in four Star Trek television series. He is perhaps best known as the recurring character Admiral Maxwell Forrest in Star Trek: Enterprise . [1] [2] He has played twelve Star Trek characters. [3]

In 1985, Armstrong portrayed drill instructor Sergeant Williams in a production of the play Tracers at the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles. [4] In 1989, he played Father Larkin, a priest-principal of a Catholic school, in Stand-up Tragedy at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. [5] [6] In 1992 he appeared in an episode of Quantum Leap as Fred Trump (alongside his future Enterprise co-star Scott Bakula). [2] In 2008, he had the role of Will Torrey, an American union representative in Ravensridge at the Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena, California. [7] [8]

Natasha "Tasha" Yar is a fictional character that mainly appeared in the first season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The character's concept was based upon the character of Vasquez from the film Aliens (1986). Following further development, she became known first as Tanya, and then Tasha. Crosby had auditioned for the role of Deanna Troi, while Rosalind Chao became a favorite for Tasha. After Marina Sirtis auditioned for the role, the series' creator Gene Roddenberry decided to switch the roles for the actresses, with Sirtis becoming Troi and Crosby becoming Yar. Chao would later appear on the series in a recurring role as Keiko O'Brien.

"Broken Bow" is the two-part series premiere of the science fiction television series Enterprise. It originally aired as a double-length episode, but was split into two parts for syndication, though releases on home media and streaming maintain its original one-episode format. A novelization of the episode, written by Diane Carey, was published in 2001. The episode won the 2002 Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series, and was also nominated for sound editing and make-up.

Star Trek Continues is an American fan-made web series set in the Star Trek universe. Produced by the nonprofit Trek Continues, Inc. and Dracogen, and initially co-produced by Far from Home LLC and Farragut Films, the series consists of 11 episodes released between 2013 and 2017. The series is an unofficial direct continuation of Star Trek: The Original Series, and emulates its visual and storytelling features to achieve the same look and feel. The creators of Star Trek Continues intended to finish the original five-year mission of the show, which they do in the final two episodes.
