Vincent Forbes-Mombleau (born July 29, 1998) is a Canadian professional gridiron football wide receiver for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Forbes-Mombleau played U Sports football for the Laval Rouge et Or from 2018 to 2021. [1] He was named the RSEQ Rookie of the Year in 2018 and capped off the season with a victory in the 54th Vanier Cup game. [2]
Forbes-Mombleau was drafted in the third round, 24th overall, by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2022 CFL Draft and signed with the team on May 13, 2022. [3] However, following training camp, he was released with the final cuts. [2]
On July 18, 2022, it was announced that Forbes-Mombleau had signed a practice roster agreement with the Edmonton Elks. [2] [4] After five games on the practice roster, he made his professional debut, and first career start, on September 5, 2022, against the Calgary Stampeders in the Labour Day Classic, where he had two receptions for 26 yards. [5] He played and started in four regular season games in 2022 where he recorded five receptions for 92 yards. [5] [6]
Following training camp in 2023, Forbes-Mombleau made the team's active roster on opening day. [6] On June 25, 2023, against the Toronto Argonauts, he scored his first career touchdown on a two-yard pass from Jarret Doege with 2:38 left to play. [7] He also had the first multi-touchdown game of his career in the same game, as he scored an 84-yard touchdown with six seconds left to play in the 43–31 loss to the Argonauts. [7] He finished the year having played in all 18 regular season games where he recorded 15 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns. [6]
Adarius Bowman is a former American professional gridiron football wide receiver in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Bowman has also been a member Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Montreal Alouettes, and Edmonton Eskimos/Elks. He played college football at Oklahoma State. Bowman was a Grey Cup Champion and three time CFL All-Star having accumulated 652 receptions for 9,491 yards and 49 touchdowns in 141 career games.
Jacques Chapdelaine is a Canadian football coach and former professional slotback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He most recently served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. He has also served as the offensive coordinator for four other CFL teams, the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes (2016-17), and the head coach for two Canadian university football teams. He has won three Grey Cup championships as an assistant coach and one Vanier Cup as the head coach of the Laval Rouge et Or. He played collegiately for the Simon Fraser Clan as a wide receiver and played between 1983 and 1989 for four different CFL teams.
Trevor Harris is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Harris has also played in the Arena Football League (AFL) and United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Edinboro University. As Edinboro's starting quarterback, he broke "every career passing record in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference" and was a two-time finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy, awarded each year to the individual selected as the most valuable player in NCAA Division II.
