Voice is the debut extended play by South Korean singer Onew. It was released on December 5, 2018, under SM Entertainment, five days before his military conscription. [1] "Blue" served as the album's lead single. [2]
In November 2018, SM Entertainment announced that Onew would be enlisting in the Korean military as part of his required military duties. [1] On November 22, the label announced that Onew would be the fourth Shinee member to make a solo debut, with plans to release the album ahead of his enlistment in early December. [3]
The album's title was announced on November 28, along with its title track and release date. The full tracklist was revealed on December 3, with the music video teaser for "Blue" releasing the following day. The full album and music video were released on December 5. [4]
Voice peaked at number two on the Korean Gaon Album Chart, [5] while in Japan it reached number 24 on the Oricon chart, selling 4,768 copies in its first week of release. [6]

Shinee is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group's musical impact in their native country has earned them numerous accolades and the title "Princes of K-pop". The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, vocalist Jonghyun died in December 2017.
Kim Ki-bum, better known by his stage name Key, is a South Korean rapper, singer, dancer, songwriter, actor, fashion designer and television presenter. Born and raised in Daegu, South Korea, he later travelled to Seoul after a successful audition at the S.M. National Tour Audition Casting. In May 2008, Key debuted as a member of South Korean boy group Shinee, who later went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea. Key is widely recognised as a singer and rapper, but he has also ventured into different careers, notably as an actor and fashion designer.
Lee Jin-ki, better known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor and host. Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Onew was discovered at the 2006 SM Academy Casting and signed a contract with SM Entertainment the day after his audition. He debuted as the lead vocalist and leader of boy group Shinee in May 2008, who went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea.

Working with producers such as Dem Jointz, Yoo Young-jin, Kenzie, and Ryan S. Jhun, the album spans several genres such as pop, hip hop, EDM, R&B, and reggae. Shinee forwent an overarching theme for the album, instead opting for songs that marked the group's return after almost three years and presenting the record as a gift to fans.
