We Thrive on Big Cities is the debut studio album by the Irish pop rock quartet, Director. It was released on October 6, 2006 in the Republic of Ireland.

It peaked at #2 on the Irish Albums Chart, and since its release, the album has gone multi-platinum in Ireland. It was nominated for the 2006 Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year. [1] We Thrive on Big Cities had sold 22,000 copies in Ireland, as of 2007. [2]

The song "Big Cities" was used in an internet trailer for Halo 3 . [3]

Red vs. Blue, often abbreviated as RvB, is an American web series created by Burnie Burns with his production company Rooster Teeth. The show is based on the setting of the military science fiction first-person shooter series and media franchise Halo. The Halo 2 Original Soundtrack is the soundtrack for Bungie's 2004 video game Halo 2. The soundtrack was released as two separate volumes, released almost two years apart. Volume 1, released at the same time as Halo 2 on November 9, 2004, contains arranged instrumental pieces written by Martin O'Donnell and his partner Michael Salvatori, as well as "inspired-by" tracks from bands Incubus, Hoobastank and Breaking Benjamin. Volume 2 was released on April 25, 2006 and contains all the game music arranged in a suite form.

Director were an Irish art rock quartet from Malahide in County Dublin. The group consisted of Michael Moloney (vocals/guitars), Eoin Aherne (guitars), Shea Lawlor (drums) and Rowan Averill. Bungie produced trailers and video documentaries to promote the game, partnering with firms such as Digital Domain and Weta Workshop.
