Weightlifting competitions at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland were held between 24 July and 2 August at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Included with the weightlifting event were four powerlifting events for disabled athletes. [1]

* The women's 53 kg competition was originally won by 16-year-old Chika Amalaha of Nigeria. Following a failed doping test, Amalaha was stripped of her medal and placement, and the medals were redistributed. [2]

Rugby sevens at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, also known as Glasgow2014 Games, was the fifth time in the competition's history that the event took place. The tournament's preliminaries took place on 26 July, with the classification matches, quarterfinals, semifinals and medal matches the following day. The venue for the competition was Ibrox Stadium. South Africa beat the reigning champions New Zealand in the final on 27 July, beating their opponents 17-12. It was the first time that New Zealand had been beaten in any game since the inception of rugby sevens at the Commonwealth Games in 1998, ending their 30 match win streak and marking the first time any other nation had won the competition.

Wrestling competitions at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland were held between 29 July and 31 July at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Greco-Roman wrestling was dropped from the program.

Boxing is one of the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, to be held in Birmingham, England at the National Exhibition Centre Hall 4. It is one of the founding sports, having featured in every edition of the Games since the inaugural 1930 edition; the boxing competition will take place within England for the third time.
