The championship was introduced on April 4, 2007, at an Ice Ribbon and Neo Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling co-promoted event, where the Neo Machineguns defeated Aya Yuki and Ran Yu-Yu in the finals of a tournament to become the inaugural champions. Championship matches have a 20-minute time limit, and the title is vacated in the event of a time limit draw. Though primarily contested for by female wrestlers, seven male wrestlers; Masako Takanashi, Chounko/Choun Shiryu, Yuki Sato, Jun Kasai, Isami Kodaka, Gentaro and Makoto Oishi, have also held the title.

Tsukushi Haruka is a retired Japanese professional wrestler. Trained by Emi Sakura, Tsukushi made her debut for her Ice Ribbon promotion in January 2010 as part of a trial series with Kurumi. After winning the fan voting, Tsukushi was made an official part of Ice Ribbon's roster the following March and she has since wrestled regularly for the promotion. She is a former one-time ICE×60 Champion, record ten-time International Ribbon Tag Team Champion and record three-time IW19 Champion. Tsukushi's accomplishments outside of Ice Ribbon include winning DDT Pro-Wrestling's Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship, JWP Joshi Puroresu's 2014 Tag League the Best and Reina Joshi Puroresu's Reina World Tag Team Championship.

The Triangle Ribbon Championship (TRC) is a women's professional wrestling championship owned by the Ice Ribbon promotion. The championship was introduced on November 28, 2009, when Riho defeated Nanae Takahashi and Tsukasa Fujimoto to become the inaugural champion. Championship matches are contested in a three-way match format and have a 15-minute time limit, and the title is vacated in the event of a time limit draw. Though primarily contested for by female wrestlers, two male wrestlers, Ribbon Takanashi and Choun Shiryu, have also held the title.

The Internet Wrestling 19 (IW19) Championship was a women's professional wrestling championship owned by the Ice Ribbon promotion. The championship was introduced on the March 22, 2011, episode of Ice Ribbon's 19 O'Clock Girls ProWrestling Ustream program, where Tsukushi defeated Tsukasa Fujimoto in the finals of a tournament to become the inaugural champion. Championship matches had a 19-minute time limit, and, unlike with all other Ice Ribbon championships, in the event of a time limit draw, the champion retained the title. The title was originally defended exclusively on the 19 O'Clock Girls ProWrestling program.

Chii Tomiya is a Japanese professional wrestler, best known for her work in the Ice Ribbon promotion. Trained by Emi Sakura, Tomiya made her debut for Ice Ribbon in October 2008 and during the next three years went on to become a one-time International Ribbon Tag Team and Internet Wrestling 19 Champion, while also holding DDT Pro-Wrestling's Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship once. In August 2011, Tomiya left Ice Ribbon and became a freelancer, adopting the new ring name Micro in the process. As a freelancer, she would most notably work for the Reina X World promotion, where she wrestled as the masked character Mini Tomato. In September 2013, she signed with the new World Pro-Wrestling Association (WPA) promotion, adopting the new ring name Akubi in the process. Standing at only 1.42 m, she is one of the shortest wrestlers in all of puroresu.

Tenka Sanbun no Kei was a series of professional wrestling events co-promoted by Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT) and Kaientai Dojo (K-Dojo) between 2007 and 2015. Tenka Sanbun no Kei was a series of tours in which BJW, DDT and K-Dojo held shows in the morning, afternoon and night at the same venue on the same day. The name "Tenka Sanbun no Kei" is a reference to the historical events surrounding the Longzhong Plan during the Three Kingdoms period.

The 2022–23 V.League Division 1 Men's is the 29th tournament of the V.League which began from 22 October 2022 to 23 April 2023.
