The Welsh National League was a football league in Wales and operated at level 3 and 4 of the Welsh football league system in Flintshire and Wrexham County Borough, but with some teams from Denbighshire and Gwynedd (Llanuwchllyn). For sponsorship purposes it was last known as the Guy Walmsley & Co Welsh National League.

Ruthin Town Football Club is a Welsh football club, based at the Memorial Playing Fields in Ruthin, Denbighshire. Football in Ruthin dates back to 1878 when a new club was formed. In 1880 Ruthin reached the final of the Welsh Cup only to lose 2-1 to Druids. However, the club in its present form dates back to 1949 when they joined the newly re-organised Welsh National League as Ruthin British Legion. They currently play in the Cymru North.
Ruabon Druids F.C. were a football club based in village of Ruabon near Wrexham, Wales. The club was founded in 1869 as Plasmadoc F.C. by David Thomson and his brother, George, of Ruabon. In 1872, Plasmadoc amalgamated with two other Ruabon clubs, Ruabon Rovers F.C. and Ruabon Volenteers F.C., and under the guidance of Llewelyn Kenrick became Ruabon Druids.

Rhosllanerchrugog F.C. were a Welsh football team from the village of Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham. In November 2018, it was announced that Ben Barlow, vocalist of the Welsh pop-punk band Neck Deep, had signed for the club. As of September 2018 Manager Jeff Owen and assistant managers Matt Griffiths and Wes Roberts are the current coaching staff. In December 2019 the club resigned from the league, effectively merging with Johnstown Youth.

The Denbighshire League was a league in the early days of Welsh football. Originally titled the Welsh Senior League it ran from 1890 until 1902. It was mainly made up of teams from the Wrexham area, with sporadic entrants from Mid Wales and the North Wales Coast. It was one of the first organised Football Leagues in Wales. The league was resurrected in September 1903 under the name the Wrexham and District League.
