Young At Art Museum (YAA) is an interactive art museum in Plantation, Florida, founded in 1987. Founded by Esther and Mindy Shrago, Young At Art traveled South Florida for two years as a Museum Without Walls, opening in 1989 in a 3,200 sq. ft. storefront in Plantation, Florida. Young At Art relocated to Davie in 1998, moving into a 24,000 sq. ft. leased space. With federal, state, county, town and community support - and through a public/private partnership with Broward County - Young At Art opened a new 55,000 sq. ft. Gold LEED museum and public library on May 5, 2012, named by the Knight Foundation "as one of the most transformative arts initiatives in South Florida." [1] [2] In September 2020, Broward County ended Young at Art's lease due to the organization owing the county $803,932. [3] In March 2021, the museum reopened at the Broward mall. [4]

Pembroke Lakes Mall, often referred to as Pines Mall or Pembroke Lakes, is an enclosed shopping mall located in Pembroke Pines, Florida, a suburb of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Located on the intersection of State Road 820 and State Road 823, it is in between Interstate 75 and Florida's Turnpike. Owned and managed by Brookfield Properties, the mall was opened in 1992, and has 1,135,374 square feet (105,479.7 m2) on one floor. South Florida is a recognized region of the state of Florida, comprising Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. Aventura station is a Brightline station in Ojus, Florida. It is located on West Dixie Highway, west of the Aventura Mall and the city of Aventura. The station is built on land purchased by Brightline and donated to Miami-Dade County, which funded a portion of the construction with $76 million. A groundbreaking ceremony was held September 3, 2020. Prior to Brightline's ongoing suspension of service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the station had been expected to open in the fall of 2021. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on December 20, 2022. Despite a scheduled opening date of December 21, 2022, passenger service wouldn't begin until a few days later, on December 24, 2022, due to some last-minute finishing touches to the station.

Island SPACE Caribbean Museum is the first and only brick and mortar pan-Caribbean heritage museum in the United States. Currently located at the Broward Mall in Plantation, Florida, the facility opened its doors in November 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is operated by the Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Island Society for the Promotion of Artistic and Cultural Education or Island SPACE.
