Wang Xianzhi (rebel)

Wang Xianzhi was a Chinese military general and rebel. He was a major agrarian rebel during the reign of Emperor Xizong of Tang, whose rebellion, while failing, along with those of his one-time ally Huang Chao, began a series of rebellions that led to Tang Dynasty's disintegration.

Ji River

The Ji River was a former river in north-eastern China which gave its name to the towns of Jiyuan and Jinan. It disappeared during one of the massive Yellow River floods of 1852, as the Yellow River shifted its course from below the Shandong Peninsula to north of it. In the process, it overtook the Ji and assumed its bed.

Kuaiji Commandery, formerly romanized as K'uai-chi Commandery, was a former commandery of China in the area of Hangzhou Bay. Jiuxian Township is a rural township in Dongping County, Shandong, China. It's surrounded by Hongfanchi Town on the east, Dong'e Town on the north, Dong'e County on the northwest, Banjiudian Town on the west, Dongping Lake on the southwest, and Laohu Town on the south. As of the 2017 census it had a population of 28,000 and an area of 73 square kilometres (28 sq mi).

The 1937 Heze earthquakes struck the Mudan District in Shandong Province, China on July 31 and August 1 respectively. The surface-wave magnitude 6.9 and 6.7 earthquakes were centered near the city of Heze. 3,252 people died, and 12,701 were injured, although the total number of casualties has never been finalized. The earthquakes also resulted in the loss of more than 6,000 livestock and destroyed 470,000 homes. Due to the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, rescue operations by the Chinese government were ineffective.
