Yuva Unstoppable is a non-governmental organization based in India. [1] It works to provide underprivileged children with access to education, sanitation, [2] [3] drinking water, youth affairs, [1] cleanliness [4] and various non-curricular activities. The organization is spread across thirty cities in India, with 150,000 volunteers. [5] [6] [7] [8] The main initiative Yuva unstoppable is known for making toilets in municipal schools which is the major reason of girls not attending schools after primary education. [9]

Contents

History

The organisation was founded by Amitabh Shah in 2005. [10] [11] In 2010, it started operations in Vadodra, Gandhinagar and Surat. [12] By 2011, it had operations in 30 cities in India and had launched in Rajasthan. [13]

On World Toilet Day 2016, India hosted the first Global Citizen Festival outside of New York City. [ citation needed ]

The Government of Maharashtra, Hindustan Unilever Limited, and Yuva Unstoppable made joint commitments which will affect 559.56 million lives by 2030. [14] [15] [16]

Yuva Unstoppable and wrestler Sangram Singh's foundation have collaborated to improve the physical condition of schools. [17] [18]

YUVA : Youth Upliftment Volunteer Association

Apj Abdul Kalam Supported the cause and inaugurated Scholarships programs on Yuva Unstoppable's 5th Anniversary. [20] [21] [22]

School sanitation

In March 2018, Bandra's Anjuman Islam Dr Mohammed Ishaq Jamkhanawala Girls High School and Junior College, a girls' school in Mumbai, got 39 new toilets for its 2,600 students. The toilets were built by Yuva Unstoppable and Zafar Sareshwala’s education movement. [23]

With Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Yuva Unstoppable built around 800 toilets in 4 years in Mumbai and Gujarat. [24] [25] [26] [27] [28]

School supplies

Through School Unstoppable, municipal school children get books, pens, pencils and other stationery items from private schools. [29] [30]

YUVA does not charge participants in its programmes. [31]

COVID-19

Rehabilitation Centers

Yuva Unstoppable also joined hands with Delhi Commission of Child Rights Protection (DCPCR) to reduce crime rates triggered by hunger and poverty among the rehabilitated youth in the capital city. [32]

Gujarat Government tied up with Yuva Unstoppable to deliver 1 litre of free edible oil In an attempt to motivate residents to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19 [33]

Scholarships to Students

Yuva unstoppable provides scholarships to all students in India for the people who are good in their academics and have lack of financial resources. [ citation needed ]

The scholarships are conducted each year where exams are conducted and scholarships provided to students. [34] Along with this scholarships the mentorship is also provided to all selected students from Indian cricketers, Bollywood actors, Writers etc. [35]

A Movie called "Mere Pyare Prime Minister" directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was inspired by the efforts of Yuva Unstoppable & Amitabh shah's story is available on Netflix. [38] [39]

Kaun Banega Crorepati

Amitabh Bachchan in the episode with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah cast played Kaun Banega Crorepati and won 25 Lakhs donation for Yuva Unstoppable. [40] [41]

Other contributions

Yuva Unstoppable's Amitabh shah is in the board & Advisory member of Young India Philanthropic Pledge (YIPP) along with Indian office of Bill and Melinda gates which was founded by Nikhil Kamath [42]

He also wrote and directed the supernatural action thriller Aks (2001) and the drama Delhi-6 (2009).

Bachchan and Bajpayee were nominated for the Best Actor and Best Villain at the same ceremony as well.

The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as an NRI who arrives in India with his ailing grandmother and begins discovering his roots before getting embroiled in a religious dispute involving a mysterious monkey-like attacker. The film co-stars Sonam Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rishi Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Atul Kulkarni, Pavan Malhotra, Deepak Dobriyal, Divya Dutta, Vijay Raaz and Om Puri. It marks the Hindi film debut of Rao Hydari. The number 6 refers to the Postal Index Number (PIN) of the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, a shortened form of 110006. It is Mehra's third film after Aks (2001) and Rang De Basanti (2006). The film's soundtrack, composed by A. R. Rahman, was a commercial success and received positive reviews from music critics upon release.

The 52nd Fair One Filmfare Awards ceremony, presented by The Times Group and Fair One, was one of India's most prestigious awards ceremonies, honoring the best Bollywood films of 2006. It took place on 17 February 2007 at the Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai.

Swachh Survekshan (lit. Sanskrit "Swachh" for Cleanliness and "Survekshan" for Survey - (सर्व + ईक्षण is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in villages, cities and towns across India. It was launched as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which aimed to make India clean and free of open defecation by 2 October 2019. The first survey was undertaken in 2016 and covered 73 cities ; by 2020 the survey had grown to cover 4242 cities and was said to be the largest cleanliness survey in the world. The surveys are carried out by Quality Council of India.

A remake of the 2000 Belgian film Everybody's Famous!, it stars Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film follows Kapoor as the titular character, the middle-aged father of a young, aspiring, and overweight teenage girl whom he pushes to be a singer. He kidnaps a famous soloist to make way for his daughter to become a star.

Mere Pyare Prime Minister is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language social-drama film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It stars Anjali Patil, Om Kanojiya, Atul Kulkarni, Makrand Deshpande, Niteesh Wadhwa and Rasika Agashe. The film follows an eight-year-old boy who decides to write a letter to the Prime Minister of India after his mother is raped. The film brings into focus the issues of defecation in open and sanitation problems faced in slums. It was the only Asian film which was screened at the Rome Film Festival. The film was released on 15 March 2019 in theatres.

<i>Toofaan</i> 2021 film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

Toofaan (transl. Storm) is an 2021 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It stars Farhan Akhtar, Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur and Hussain Dalal. In the film, Aziz Ali is an orphaned extortionist in Dongri who beats up shopkeepers for money. He gets into a fight and goes to a hospital, where the doctor, Ananya Prabhu criticizes him for being an extortionist and orders him out.

Afroz Shah is an Indian environmental activist and lawyer from Mumbai. He is best known for organizing the world's largest beach clean-up project, which has grown into a movement that has inspired people around the world to clean up their surrounding environment.

The 13th Screen Awards also The Hero Honda 13th Annual Star Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2006. The ceremony was held on 6 January 2007 at Bandra Kurla Complex Ground, Mumbai, hosted by Raju Srivastav and Navin Prabhakar. And it was telecasted on 14 January 2007, StarPlus.
