BABY BRASA is an organic Peruvian group of restobars and catering service based in New York City, founded in 2016 by restaurateur, television personality and singer Franco Noriega. Baby Brasa is currently owned by Milan Kelez, who also serves as entertainment director and leads the front of the house at Baby Brasa. Milan Kelez is active on the New York social scene and is said to be capable of pulling in serious starpower. [1] [2] [3] The two-story flagship location in the West Village serves contemporary Peruvian cuisine, fusion dishes, and cocktails and as of 2017 also hosted weekly live music performances. [4] The company's first location opened as a small eatery in the Lower East Side, later expanding to the West Village. [5]

On November 29, 2020, he became the first celebrity to win the $1,000,000 top prize for his charity, Southern Smoke Foundation, and the fourteenth overall million dollar winner on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Veselka is a Ukrainian restaurant at 144 Second Avenue in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. It was established in 1954 by Wolodymyr Darmochwal and his wife, Olha Darmochwal, post–World War II Ukrainian refugees. Veselka is one of the last of many Slavic restaurants that once proliferated in the neighborhood. A cookbook, published in October 2009 by St. Martin's Press, highlights more than 120 of the restaurant's Eastern European recipes.

Mario Batali was a primary investor. The chef was April Bloomfield, a British expatriate celebrity chef who was hired after flying to New York and interviewing with Mario Batali and Friedman. The restaurant held a single Michelin Star from about 2006 to 2016. The restaurant closed on January 26, 2020.

Canora owns the Hearth Restaurant and Terroir wine bar in New York and is also the founder of Brodo, a marketer, producer and seller of bone broth.
