Cindy is a musical with music and lyrics by Johnny Brandon, and a book by Joe Sauter and Mike Sawyer. It ran Off-Broadway at the Gate, Orpheum, and Cricket Theatres (not simultaneously) in 1964 and 1965. It is an adaptation of the story of Cinderella. It was produced by Chandler Warren and Philip Temple, by arrangement with Stuart Wiener and Jerry Grace.

Productions

Cindy opened at the Gate Theatre on March 19, 1964, and closed June 21. On September 24, it reopened at the Orpheum Theatre. It transferred to the Cricket Theatre on January 19, 1965, and closed on May 2, 1965. [1]

Stephen Dolginoff is an American playwright and composer. His most notable work is Thrill Me, the musical version of the true story of Leopold and Loeb, which opened Off-Broadway at the York Theatre in 2005, featuring Dolginoff himself as Nathan Leopold. Subsequently, it was published by Dramatists Play Service, and has had over 150 productions in 16 countries and 10 languages. Dolginoff won an ASCAP Music Award for the score of Thrill Me and was nominated for New York's Drama Desk Award for both Best Musical and Best Music Score as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Off-Broadway Musical. The Los Angeles production was nominated for an Ovation Award for Best Musical in an Intimate Theatre. In 2009, Dolginoff received a Los Angeles Garland Award honorable mention for the Music & Lyrics of Thrill Me.

Darlington United Methodist Church is located in Darlington, Maryland. It is a pre Civil War structure, built in 1852, with white siding, large windows, and many historically original architecture. It is a church within the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is also one of two churches part of the Darlington Methodist Charge, the other being Dublin United Methodist Church in Street, Maryland. Michael Murray is an American stage director, producer and educator. He is one of the early leaders of the Regional Theatre Movement. Murray was co-founder of the Charles Playhouse in Boston, MA. and served as its Artistic Director for eleven years (1957–1968).
