KumoMTA is an Open-Source Message Transfer Agent [2] written in Rust, released under the Apache License version 2.0, and hosted on GitHub.

Overview

KumoMTA was first released in March of 2023 [3] with the intent to create an Open-Source alternative [4] to the high-performance proprietary email servers used by large-scale senders. [5]

Platform Support

KumoMTA is available for [Amazon Linux 2/2023], Ubuntu 20/22, and Rocky Linux 8/9 as pre-built repositories. A Docker image is also available. [6] The software supports both X86-64 and AArch64 architectures. [7]
