This is a list of satellite television channels in Malayalam language (spoken in the Indian state of Kerala and the Union territory of Lakshadweep) broadcasting at least throughout Kerala state and in Middle East Countries. Besides these, there exist a number of local channels concentrating in a particular area or town in the region.

Malayalam journalism encompasses journalism published and broadcast in the Malayalam language. Modern Malayalam journalism can be traced to the publication of the Raajyasamaachaaram and the Pashchimodhayam under the direction of Hermann Gundert in June 1847. Kerala has the highest media exposure in India with newspapers publishing in nine languages, mainly English and Malayalam.

DD Free Dish is an Indian free-to-air satellite television provider owned and operated by Public Service Broadcaster Prasar Bharati. It was launched in December, 2004. In March 2022, It has a reach of over 43 million households which is more than 25% of the total TV households in the country. DD Free Dish earns by selling slots to private broadcasters through e-auction.

Thiruvananthapuram has long been a center of media. Kerala Chandrika, the first newspaper of the state, was published from Thiruvananthapuram in 1789. The media also enjoyed the patronage of the Travancore kings. In 1836, Swathi Thirunal, the Travancore king, organized a government press in the city. The first Superintendent of the Press was the Rev. Sperschneider. The press was under Samathanam Maistry, one of the first batch of workmen trained in the Nagercoil Press.

She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Thanichalla Njan (2012) at the 60th National Film Awards. Kalpana started her career as a child artist in the late 1970s. Asianet is an Indian Malayalam language general entertainment pay television channel operated by Disney Star, a subsidiary of Disney India. It primarily telecasts programmes such as serials, reality shows and Malayalam films. Asianet HD is the first High Definition (HD) television channel in Malayalam.

Beena Antony is an Indian actress appearing in Malayalam film and television. She mainly appeared in supporting roles in films and television serials in her later career, including Ommanathinkalpakshi, Mayaseetha, Ente Manasaputhri, Autograph and Thapasya.

Ravi Vallathol was an Indian actor, mainly noted for his acting in many famous serials, including the first serial in Malayalam.

Parvathi T., also known as Maala Parvathi, is an Indian actress, who appears mainly in Malayalam films.

Emimol Mohan, better known by her stage name Varada is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Malayalam films and television. After making her acting debut in the 2006 Malayalam film Vaasthavam in a minor supporting role, she played the lead role in the 2008 film Sultan. Her breakthrough role was with the Malayalam soap opera Amala aired from 2013 to 2015.

Shekinah News TV is a 24-hour Indian satellite News channel, airing Christian spiritual programs, current affairs and news. The channel airs programs in Malayalam and English. The channel is managed by Shekinah Communications Limited. The channel is headquartered in Thalikode, Thrissur, Kerala, India.
