This article lists political parties in Kazakhstan . Kazakhstan is a dominant-party state with Amanat in power. There are seven legal parties in Kazakhstan. [1] Political reforms towards Western-styled multi-party politics and electioneering have made easier for people to join a party. [2] To be a registered political party in Kazakhstan, membership of at least 20,000 persons is required. [3]

Dariga Nursultanqyzy Nazarbayeva is a Kazakh businesswoman and politician who is the daughter of Nursultan Nazarbayev who was the President of Kazakhstan from 1990 to 2019. She was a member of the Mäjilis from 2004 to 2007, 2012 to 2015 and 2021 to 2022. She was Deputy Chairwoman of Mäjilis from 2014 to 2015 until being appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister under Massimov's cabinet. The "Auyl" People's Democratic Patriotic Party or simply as Auyl, is a political party in Kazakhstan. It was originally founded by Gani Qaliev on 30 January 2000 before eventually merging with the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan on 5 September 2015. The party is currently led by Senator for Turkistan Region Äli Bektaev from August 2015. With a membership of around 300,000 people, Auyl has participated in every Kazakh parliamentary election since 2004 and nominated presidential candidate Toleutai Raqymbekov in the 2019 presidential election. It first entered the Mäjilis at the 2023 legislative election, winning eight seats and becoming the largest opposition party.

Democratic Party Adilet was a political party in Kazakhstan that existed from 2004 to 2013 and was led by chairman Tolegen Sydykhov. The party was founded as the Democratic Party of Kazakhstan on 29 April 2004. The Adilet numbered around 70,000 members. The party was built on a territorial basis and had branches in all regions of the countries and in the cities of Astana and Almaty.

Legislative elections were held in Kazakhstan on 10 January 2021 to elect the members of the Mäjilis to the 7th Parliament of Kazakhstan. They were the eighth legislative elections in Kazakhstan's history since independence and coincided with the 2021 local elections. The elections were the first to be held under Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's presidency and the first since 2004 to be held at the normally scheduled date, rather than due to an early dissolution of the Mäjilis.

Adal, previously known as Birlik until 2020, was a centre-right political party in Kazakhstan that was formed as a result of merger between Rukhaniyat Party and Democratic Party Adilet on 26 April 2013. The party is led by Serik Sultangali, a Kazakh businessman and has a membership of over 300,000 people as of 2021. Since its creation, the Adal has participated in every parliamentary election, often taking last place in terms of vote share and has not never nominated a presidential candidate for the elections. On 26 April 2022, Adal merged with the Amanat party.

Municipal elections were held in Kazakhstan where 730 äkıms whose four-year terms expired were reelected for the first time directly by the population on 25 July 2021 following an introduction of new law by the Parliament, which allowed for direct elections for äkıms of cities with district importance, villages, and the townships of rural districts. From there, the ruling Nur Otan party won majority of 627 municipal races with most of its candidates being incumbents who occupied the äkım positions prior, followed by the Auyl People's Democratic Patriotic Party, Adal, Ak Zhol Democratic Party, People's Party of Kazakhstan, and the Nationwide Social Democratic Party where it secured local race victory in West Kazakhstan Region.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">El Tıregı</span> Political party in Kazakhstan

El Tıregı is an unregistered political party in Kazakhstan that was founded on 27 November 2020 by former Mazhilis MP and Vice Minister Nurzhan Altayev. Originally formed as a public association in October 2019, the organisation sought to influence governmental policies within the ruling Amanat party and was eventually transformed to a political party after a series of disagreements between association's chairman Altayev's proposed reforms and the Amanat, with him eventually being deprived of the party membership after threatening to form his own separate faction.

Snap legislative elections were held in Kazakhstan on 19 March 2023 to elect the members of the Mäjilis. This was the ninth legislative election since Kazakhstan's independence in 1991 and the first snap election for the Mäjilis seats since 2016. It was held alongside the local assembly elections.

Jer Qorgany is an unregistered Kazakh opposition party founded on 16 March 2022 by public figure Mūqtar Taijan.

Meiram Zekeshuly Qajyken is a Kazakh economist and academician who is the leader of Yntymaq party from 2022 and the head of Modern Society Studies Institute since 2015. Prior to that, he worked in the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan, as well as various state-owned enterprises and government departments related to economy and industry in Kazakhstan. Qajyken is Doctor of Economics and an author of several books written on the development of the socio-economic system, adaptive economy and the concept of a unified wage system in Kazakhstan. He is chairman of several state-owned enterprises and is a professor at the Astana International University.

The Respublica Party is a political party in Kazakhstan, which was officially registered on 18 January 2023.

Baytaq, officially the "Baytaq" Green Party of Kazakhstan is a green political party in Kazakhstan. The leader of the party is Azamathan Ämirtai, a member of the National Kurultai under the President. Previously he was a member of the Board of Directors of JSC National Managing Holding KazAgro and the National Council of Public Trust under the President.

Elections to the Almaty City Mäslihat were held on 19 March 2023 to elect the 42 members of the 8th Almaty City Mäslihat to coincide with the 2023 Kazakh local elections. The newly elected five-year term composition of the Mäslihat was formed by a mixed electoral system for the first time, in which half of the seats are elected from single-member districts and party-list proportional representation, respectively.

Aidarbek Asanuly Qojanazarov is a Kazakh businessman and politician. He is currently serving as a Deputy of the Mäjilis of the VIII convocation (2023) and leader of the Respublica Party. He previously served as CEO of Olzha Agro and Ivolga Holding (2017–2019).
