The A219, is a road in West London, England, which connects the A404 Harrow Road in Harlesden to the A24 in South Wimbledon. Running from North to South, it starts near Willesden Junction station, crosses the Grand Union Canal and runs through Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham, crossing the River Thames at Putney Bridge. It continues through Putney and passes Wimbledon Common, and goes through Wimbledon to terminate just after South Wimbledon Underground station at the A24.

The Asan Barrage is a barrage in the Uttarakhand-Himachal Pradesh border region in Doon Valley,, northern India, situated at the confluence of the Eastern Yamuna Canal and the Asan River and about 11 km (7 mi) from Dakpathar, and 28 km. northwest of Dehradun in Uttarakhand. The barrage is 287.5m long and has water throughout the year which is fed from the river Asan and the discharge channel of the river Yamuna. Since 2020 it has been declared as Uttarakhand's first Ramsar site.

Lar Dam is a dam located at the foot of Mount Damavand in Amol county, Mazandaran, Iran. The dam is located within the protected Lar National Park, and situated just 70 kilometers northeast of the capital and the most populous city of the country, Iran. The primary purpose of the dam is municipal water supply to Tehran but prior to the water reaching the city filtration plant, it is used to power the Kalan and Lavarak Hydroelectric Power Stations, with a combined installed capacity of 162.5 MW.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dakpathar Barrage</span> Dam in Dakpathar

The Dakpathar Barrage is a concrete barrage across the Yamuna River adjacent to Dakpathar in Uttarakhand, India. In a run-of-the-river scheme, the barrage serves to divert water into the East Yamuna Canal for hydroelectric power production at the Dhakrani and Dhalipur Power Plants. The foundation stone for the dam was laid on 23 May 1949 by India's Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The barrage is controlled by 25 floodgates and has a length of 516.5 m (1,695 ft).

The Dharasu Power Station is a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station on the Bhagirathi River located at Dharasu in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, India. The power station was commissioned in 2008 and has a 304 MW capacity.

The Pashulok Barrage is a barrage located on the Ganges River just south of Rishikesh in Dehradun district, Uttarakhand, India.

The Renzonghai Dam is a rock-fill embankment dam on the Tianwanhe River, a tributary of the Dadu River, in Kangding of Sichuan Province, China. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and it supports three power stations downstream, the Renzonghai, Jinwo and Dafa Hydropower Stations. Water from the dam is sent via penstock first to the 246 MW Renzonghai then the 287.2 MW Jinwo and finally, the 246 MW Dafa Hydropower Station. The total installed capacity of the power stations is 779.2 MW Construction on the project began in August 2004 and the Jinwo power station was commissioned in 2007, the Dafa in 2008 and the Renzonghai in 2009. The Jinwo station contains the largest Pelton turbines in Asia, two at 146.3 MW each.

Aktau or Aqtau, Russian: Актау) is a city in Kazakhstan, located on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. Its current name means 'white mountain' in Kazakh, which may be due to its cliffs that overlook the Caspian. From 1964 to 1991, the city was known as Shevchenko. Its former name was given due to the eponymous Ukrainian poet's period of exile in the area. It is located on the Mangyshlak Peninsula and is the capital of the Mangystau Region.
