Miss Russia 2007 the 16th edition of the Miss Russia pageant, was held on December 14, 2007 at Gostinom Yard, Moscow, Russia. Tatiana Kotova of Rostov-on-Don crowned her successor Ksenia Sukhinova of Tyumen as the new Miss Russia. Riyo Mori and Zhang Zilin participated in the event. Ksenia Sukhinova competed in the Miss World 2008 pageant, and was crowned the winner. Although she was not the winner of the national pageant, the Miss Russia organization decided to send the first runner-up, Vera Krasova, to the Miss Universe 2008 pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, where she made it to the top five finalists.

Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia crowned her successor Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar at the end of event. It is the first time that someone from Gibraltar won Miss World. In the past, people from mainland Britain have won.

Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 6 November 2011 at the Earls Court Two in London, United Kingdom. As part of the events, the contestants also travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland between 23 and 27 October. Alexandria Mills of the United States crowned her successor Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela at the end of the event, she is the sixth Venezuelan woman to win Miss World - currently tied with India for the most wins in the competition's history. Although over 120 delegates were expected to compete, problems regarding the timely acquisition of visas prevented several candidates from participating, thus reducing the final number to 113. Miss World 2011 was viewed by over 1 billion people worldwide.
Camila Vezzoso is a model from Uruguay and a beauty queen titleholder who was crowned Miss Uruguay 2012. She also represented Uruguay in the 2012 Miss Universe pageant. Following the contests, she moved to Paris and is currently pursuing a modeling career.
Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.
Miss Universe 2015 was the 64th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on 20 December 2015. This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump on 14 September 2015. Consequently, it was also the first Miss Universe event to be aired by Fox and Azteca as the pageant's respective English and Spanish broadcasters instead of NBC.

Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.
