Vehicles

Qooder

The Qooder is a model of street-legal motorized quadricycles and is the flagship of Qooder SA. [4] It is a four-wheeled scooter and has double rear-wheel drive with mechanical differential and 4-wheel integral braking. [5] It has a hydro-pneumatic suspension, known as "Hydraulic Tilting System," or "HTS," which allows a rider to tilt all of the wheels simultaneously for motorcycle-like riding dynamics. [6] In 2020 it incorporated an electronic version of the HTS, known as E-HTS, which locks the tilting while the vehicle is stopped or parked to allow riders to keep their feet up while stopped. [7]

The Qooder is gasoline operated and also available in an electric version [5] which utilizes the Zero Motorcycles electric drive system. [8] The Qooder is a street-legal vehicle that also has an off-road enduro version called the XQooder. [5]

QV3

The QV3 is a motorized tricycle similar to a motorcycle, only with two wheels in the front and one wheel in the rear. [9] It also uses the Hydraulic Tilting System and is available in an electric version which was released in 2020. [5]

Oxygen and Nuvion

Oxygen is a zero-emissions electric scooter. It is a two wheeled vehicle and is designed for travel in urban locations and where motor vehicles are restricted. [10] The Nuvion is a light weight gas powered three wheel leaning vehicle similar to the QV3. [11]

Piaggio & C. SpA is an Italian motor vehicle manufacturer, which produces a range of two-wheeled motor vehicles and compact commercial vehicles under seven brands: Piaggio, Vespa, Gilera, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Derbi, and Scarabeo. Tilting three-wheeler

A tilting three-wheeler, tilting trike, leaning trike, or even just tilter, is a three-wheeled vehicle and usually a narrow-track vehicle whose body and or wheels tilt in the direction of a turn. Such vehicles can corner without rolling over despite having a narrow axle track because they can balance some or all of the roll moment caused by centripetal acceleration with an opposite roll moment caused by gravity, as bicycles and motorcycles do. This also reduces the lateral acceleration experienced by the rider, which some find more comfortable than the alternative. The narrow profile can result in reduced aerodynamic drag and increased fuel efficiency. These types of vehicles have also been described as "man-wide vehicles" (MWV).

Malaguti Italian motorcycle manufacturer

Malaguti is an Italian bicycle, scooter and motorcycle company based in San Lazzaro di Savena, founded by Antonino Malaguti in 1930. Types of motorcycles Types of motorcycles

There are many systems for classifying types of motorcycles, describing how the motorcycles are put to use, or the designer's intent, or some combination of the two. Six main categories are widely recognized: cruiser, sport, touring, standard, dual-purpose, and dirt bike. Sometimes sport touring motorcycles are recognized as a seventh category. Strong lines are sometimes drawn between motorcycles and their smaller cousins, mopeds, scooters, and underbones, but other classification schemes include these as types of motorcycles.

Motorized bicycle

A motorized bicycle is a bicycle with an attached motor or engine and transmission used either to power the vehicle unassisted, or to assist with pedalling. Since it sometimes retains both pedals and a discrete connected drive for rider-powered propulsion, the motorized bicycle is in technical terms a true bicycle, albeit a power-assisted one. Typically they are incapable of speeds above 52km/h.

Kick scooter Human-powered land vehicle

A kick scooter is a human-powered street vehicle with a handlebar, deck, and wheels propelled by a rider pushing off the ground with their leg. Today, the most common scooters are made of aluminum, titanium, and steel. Some kick scooters made for younger children have 3 to 4 wheels and are made of plastic or don't fold. High-performance kickbikes also are made.

Motorized scooter Powered stand-up scooter

A motorized scooter is a stand-up scooter powered by a small utility internal combustion engine or, in case of e-scooter, by a small electric motor directly built in the front or the rear wheel. Classified as a form of micro-mobility, these scooters are generally designed with a large deck in the center on which the rider stands. The first motorized scooter was manufactured by Autoped beginning in 1915.

Yamaha Tesseract

The Yamaha Tesseract was a hybrid electric concept vehicle introduced by Yamaha at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Although the Tesseract is technically a quadricycle, Yamaha has called it "The 4-Wheeled Motorcycle" because it has a frontal profile nearly as narrow as a conventional motorcycle and because it has a tilting wheel suspension that allows it to bank like a motorcycle. This suspension, which Yamaha refers to as a "Dual Scythe Suspension", is similar to that of the 4MC concept vehicle. Yamaha experienced delays in its own patent filings with the European Patent Office as a result of patents held by the 4MC's inventor, Mike Shotter.
