The BBC World Service is an international broadcaster owned and operated by the BBC, with funding from the British Government through the Foreign Secretary's office. It is the world's largest external broadcaster in terms of reception area, language selection and audience reach. It broadcasts radio news, speech and discussions in more than 40 languages to many parts of the world on analogue and digital shortwave platforms, internet streaming, podcasting, satellite, DAB, FM and MW relays. In 2015, the World Service reached an average of 210 million people a week. In November 2016, the BBC announced that it would start broadcasting in additional languages including Amharic and Igbo, in its biggest expansion since the 1940s.
Risshū (律宗), also Ritsu school, is one of the six schools of Nara Buddhism in Japan, noted for its use of the Vinaya textual framework of the Dharmaguptaka, one of the early schools of Buddhism. The Ritsu school was founded in Japan by the blind Chinese priest Jianzhen, better known by his Japanese name Ganjin. Ganjin traveled to Japan at the request of Japanese priests, and established the Tōshōdai-ji in Nara. During the Kamakura period, the Ritsu sect was divided into schools at Tōshōdai-ji, Kaidan-in, Saidai-ji, and Sennyū-ji. However, during the Meiji period, the Ritsu sect was incorporated within the Shingon sect by decree of the Japanese government. Today only Tōshōdai-ji, which resisted the government measures, retains its identity as a Ritsu temple.

Consonants and basic finals conform to international braille, but additional finals form a semi-syllabary, as in zhuyin (bopomofo). Each syllable is written with up to three Braille cells, representing the initial, final, and tone, respectively. In practice tone is generally omitted as it is in pinyin.

It is based on the reality singing competition The Voice of Holland, which was originally created by Dutch producer John de Mol Jr.. Many other countries have adapted the format and begun airing their own versions since 2010. It has become a rival to the Idols franchise, Rising Star and The X Factor. Up until 2020, the franchise was owned by Talpa Network. The current owner is ITV Studios.
The Voice of China is a Chinese reality television singing competition broadcast on Zhejiang Television. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, the concept of the series is to find new singing talent contested by aspiring singers drawn from public auditions. The winner is determined by votes cast by a media judging panel and live audience. They receive a record deal with various labels for winning the competition. The winners of the four seasons have been: Bruce Liang, Li Qi, Diamond Zhang, and Zhang Lei.
BPL is the call sign of the official long-wave time signal service of the People's Republic of China, operated by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, broadcasting on 100 kHz from CAS's National Time Service Center in Pucheng County, Shaanxi at 34°56′54″N109°32′34″E, roughly 70 km northeast of Lintong, along with NTSC's short-wave time signal BPM on 2.5, 5.0, 10.0, and 15.0 MHz.

Xīngguāng Dàdào is a Chinese state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) talent show from 2004 onwards. Named after the Chinese name for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was CCTV's more “healthy” rival to Hunan Satellite Television's blockbuster Super Girl (超级女声) talent show. The third season of the Chinese reality talent show The Voice of China premiered on 18 July 2014 on Zhejiang Television. Hu Qiaohua returned as host. Na Ying and Wang Feng returned as coaches. A-mei and Harlem Yu did not return for season three, making room for the return of Yang Kun after a one-season absence, and an addition of a new coach, Chyi Chin. On 7 October 2014, Zhang Bichen of Team Na Ying was announced as the winner of the season, making her the first female winner of The Voice of China. Perhat Khaliq of Team Wang Feng, Ryan Yu of Team Yang Kun, and UZ Qin of Team Chyi Chin finished runner-up, third, and fourth places respectively.
