The 2005 LNBP was the 6th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on June 30, 2005 and ended on November 21, 2005. The league title was won by Halcones UV Xalapa, which defeated Lobos de la UAdeC in the championship series, 4–1.

Format

20 teams participate. The teams are divided in two groups of 10 teams each, called Zonas (zones): Zona Norte (North) and Zona Sur (South). The first 8 teams in each group qualify for the playoffs. The group playoffs have quarterfinals (best-of-5), semifinals (best-of-7) and finals (best-of-7). The winner of each group series qualify for the championship series (best-of-7), named Campeón de Campeones (Champion of Champions).

Copa Independencia

The second edition of the Copa Independencia took place in September in Saltillo, and was played between the 8 best ranked teams at the end of the first part of the season [6] (the first 4 ranked of each Zona). [7] The competition was won by Lobos de la UAdeC (their second title), which defeated Correcaminos UAT Victoria in the final game, 101–83. [8]

All-Star Game

The 2005 LNBP All-Star Game was played in Veracruz at the Auditorio Benito Juárez on September 15, 2005. [9] The game was played between a team of Mexican players (Mexicanos) and a team of foreign players (Extranjeros). The Foreigners won, 105–96. [10]

The National Professional Basketball League is the top professional basketball league in Mexico. The league was founded in 2000 with 10 teams. Despite its short history, the LNBP has established itself as the one of the most important basketball leagues in Latin America.

Soles de Mexicali Basketball team in Baja California, Mexico

The Soles de Mexicali is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, playing in the Northern Division of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). The team was founded in 2005, and has established as one of Mexico's youngest and most successful basketball francises. They currently play their home games in the Auditorio del Estado and are getting their home auditorium remodeled to match their recent title.

The 2007–08 LNBP was the 8th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. The regular season began September 6, 2007 and ended on January 19, 2008. The playoffs ended on March 13, 2008. The league title was won by Halcones UV Xalapa, which defeated Soles de Mexicali in the championship series, 4–3.

Noé Alonzo Chávez is a Mexican professional basketball player. He is a 6'8" Forward who currently plays for Aguacateros de Michoacán, in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional in Mexico. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, he is a member of the Mexico national basketball team.

Víctor Manuel Ávila Haro is a Mexican professional basketball player currently with the CIBACOPA team Caballeros de Culiacán. Since the CIBACOPA takes place for only a few months a year, Avila also plays for Halcones UV Xalapa in the LNBP. Throughout his career, Avila has played professional basketball in the United States, Mexico, Czech Republic and Puerto Rico. He has represented Mexico’s national basketball team on many occasions.

The 2012–13 Ascenso MX season took place from 20 July 2012 to 11 May 2013 and was divided into two tournaments named Apertura 2012 and Clausura 2013. The Ascenso MX is the second-tier football league of Mexico.

Halcones Rojos Veracruz Basketball team in Veracruz, Mexico

Halcones Rojos Veracruz is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Veracruz.

Primera División A(Méxican First A Division) is a Mexican football tournament. This season was composed of Invieno 2000 and Verano 2001. Reboceros de La Piedad was the winner of the promotion to First Division after winning Gallos de Aguascalientes in the promotion playoff.

The 2000 LNBP was the 1st season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on August 7, 2000 and ended in December 2000. The league title was won by Correcaminos UAT Tampico, which defeated Correcaminos UAT Victoria in the championship series.

The 2001 LNBP was the 2nd season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 31, 2001 and ended on November 29, 2001. The league title was won by Gallos de Pelea de Ciudad Juárez, which defeated Lobos UAdeC in the championship series.

The 2002 LNBP was the 3rd season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 30, 2002 and ended on December 7, 2002. The league title was won by Correcaminos UAT Victoria, which defeated Correcaminos UAT Matamoros in the championship series, 4–3. Gallos de Pelea de Ciudad Juárez then defeated Correcaminos UAT Victoria in the Campeón de Campeones series, 4–0.

The 2004 LNBP was the 5th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 1, 2004 and ended on December 8, 2004. The league title was won by Santos Reales de San Luis, which defeated Halcones UV Xalapa in the championship series, 4–2.

The 2006 LNBP was the 7th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 6, 2006 and ended on November 17, 2006. The league title was won by Soles de Mexicali, which defeated Halcones UV Xalapa in the championship series, 4–3.

The 2008–09 LNBP was the 9th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 4, 2008, and ended on March 18, 2009. The league title was won by Halcones UV Xalapa, which defeated Soles de Mexicali in the championship series, 4–2.

The 2009–10 LNBP was the 10th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 10, 2009 and ended on March 10, 2010. The league title was won by Halcones UV Xalapa, which defeated Halcones Rojos Veracruz in the championship series, 4–1.

The 2010–11 LNBP was the 11th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 2, 2010 and ended on March 1, 2011. The league title was won by Toros de Nuevo Laredo, which defeated Pioneros de Quintana Roo in the championship series, 4–2.

The 2011–12 LNBP was the 12th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on August 30, 2011 and ended on February 13, 2012. The league title was won by Halcones Rojos Veracruz, which defeated Toros de Nuevo Laredo in the championship series, 4–1.

The 2012–13 LNBP was the 13th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on September 4, 2012 and ended on February 27, 2013. The league title was won by Toros de Nuevo Laredo, which defeated Halcones UV Xalapa in the championship series, 4–2.

The 2017–18 Tercera División season is the fourth-tier football league of Mexico. The tournament began on 1 September 2017 and finished on 10 June 2018.
