The 2022 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season was the 64th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 72nd overall. The Tiger-Cats qualified for the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year in Week 20 following a win over the Ottawa Redblacks and a loss by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. [1] However, the team lost in the East Semi-Final to the Montreal Alouettes.

CFL Global Draft

The 2022 CFL Global Draft took place on May 3, 2022. [4] With the format being a snake draft, the Tiger-Cats selected ninth in the odd-numbered rounds and first in the even-numbered rounds. [5]

CFL National Draft

The 2022 CFL Draft took place on May 3, 2022. [6] The Tiger-Cats were scheduled to have the eighth selection in each of the eight rounds of the draft after finishing as the Grey Cup runner-up in the previous season. [7] However, the team traded their first and third round selections to the Edmonton Elks for Kyle Saxelid and Grant McDonald. [8]

The 2004 CFL season is considered to be the 51st season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 47th Canadian Football League season.

The 2007 CFL season was the 54th season of modern-day Canadian football, the 50th season of the Canadian Football League, and many special events were held to commemorate the event. Regular-season play began on June 28, 2007 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario and concluded on Saturday, November 3, 2007. The playoffs began on Sunday, November 11, 2007, and ended with the championship game, the 95th Grey Cup, at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, on November 25, 2007, with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as champions.

Orlondo Steinauer is the president of football operations for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). As a player, he played professional Canadian football as a safety for 13 seasons with the Ottawa Rough Riders, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts from 1996 to 2008. He finished his career second all-time in CFL history for interception return yards with 1178 yards. Steinauer was a two-time Grey Cup champion as a player after winning in 1999 with the Tiger-Cats and in 2004 with the Argonauts. He has also won a championship as a coach, winning the 100th Grey Cup as the defensive backs coach for the Toronto Argonauts in 2012.

Simoni Lawrence is an American former professional gridiron football linebacker who played primarily for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a three-time winner of the James P. McCaffrey Trophy, a three-time CFL All-Star, and a five-time CFL Divisional All-Star. He is the Tiger-Cats' franchise leader in total tackles (734) and defensive tackles (727) and holds the CFL record for most defensive tackles in a single game (17).
