The 2024 MLS Next Pro season will be the third season of MLS Next Pro, the second-tier league of Major League Soccer. It is expected that the season will begin on March 15 and conclude on October 6.
Austin FC II and the Colorado Rapids 2 are the defending playoff and regular season champions, respectively.
Two independent clubs, Carolina Core FC and Chattanooga FC will begin play in the league. Chattanooga previously played in the National Independent Soccer Association, while Carolina Core is an expansion club.
Note: All teams use Adidas as universal kit manufacturer.
During the regular season, teams played 28 matches each in a mostly regionalized schedule. Each conference was divided into divisions of seven or eight teams for scheduling. [25]

Including both MLS Next Pro and the MLS Reserve League, it is the ninth season of a reserve league operated by MLS. The league is sanctioned as a third division league by U.S. Soccer.
The 2022 New England Revolution II season was the third season in the soccer team's history, where they compete in the third division of American soccer, MLS Next Pro. New England Revolution II, as a child club of New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, are barred from participating in the 2022 U.S. Open Cup. New England Revolution II play their home games at Gillette Stadium, located in Foxborough, Massachusetts, United States.
The 2022 Rochester New York FC season was the club's 23rd overall and first in MLS Next Pro. It was the first year since 2017 the club has played, and their first season under the Rochester New York FC name, after spending the first 22 seasons branded as the Rochester Raging Rhinos and Rochester Rhinos. The 2024 Chattanooga season is the club's sixteenth season. The first eleven seasons Chattanooga FC competed as an amateur team in National Premier Soccer League. Chattanooga FC was a successful amateur team, winning the NPSL season champion eight times and finish second in post-season playoffs four times. In 2015, Chattanooga FC claimed the title of best amateur team in the country by winning the United States Adult Soccer Association Hank Steinbrecher Cup, beating Michigan Bucks 3–0. In 2019, Chattanooga FC became a professional team, joining National Independent Soccer Association. Chattanooga FC success continued in 2023 when the team finished as the NISA season champions and advanced to the post season semi-finals.
