The company is most known for co-distributing, I, Tonya (2017), and producing Destroyer (2018), Ben Is Back (2018), Late Night (2019), and Triangle of Sadness (2022). They have also produced the television series Tiger King .

History

In April 2017, it was announced Dan Friedkin and Micah Green would launch a company focusing on investing capital in independent film production. [1] In September 2017, it was announced the company would be named 30West, and would additionally handle sales on projects. [2] [3]

The company co-distributed I, Tonya with Neon, [4] Colette with Bleecker Street, [5] and Beast with Roadside Attractions. [6] [7] The company handled the sales for films including Assassination Nation , [8] The Souvenir , [9] and Flee . [10]

The company has invested in Neon, Altitude Film Distribution, Creature Comforts Brewing Co., and Constellation Immersive. [11] [12] [13]

I, Tonya is a 2017 American biographical sports mockumentary black comedy film directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Steven Rogers. It follows the life and career of American figure skater Tonya Harding and her connection to the 1994 assault on her rival Nancy Kerrigan. The film states it is based on "contradictory" and "totally true" interviews with Harding and her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, suggesting they are unreliable narrators. This means the viewer must decide for themselves whether to see the film as the truth or as a version concocted by Harding herself. It features darkly comedic interviews with the characters in mockumentary style, set in the modern day, and breaks the fourth wall. Margot Robbie stars as Harding, Sebastian Stan as Gillooly, and Allison Janney as Harding's mother LaVona Golden.
