The Alliance for Peace and Freedom (APF) is a European political alliance and former far-right European political party founded on 4 February 2015. [6] The main member parties were involved in the now defunct European National Front.
The alliance wishes to establish a network of nationalist movements across Europe that will cooperate to strengthen their shared ideals. [7] It cooperates and supports other nationalist groups across Europe that are not members, these include former party member Golden Dawn, Tricolour Flame, [8] Alternative for Sweden [9] and the ELAM. [10] The alliance is described as neo-Nazi by several newspapers, [11] [12] and neo-fascist by others. [13] [14]
The group works for "a Europe of sovereign nations in which the independent states work together on a confederated basis", and for the perennity and the safeguarding of ancestral European traditions such as the Christian tradition. [15]
The Europa Terra Nostra is the official European political foundation of the APF. The ETN was founded 3 July 2015 in Berlin where it continues to operate as the official think-tank of the APF and serves as the European framework for national foundations/think-tanks recognised by APF member-parties. [16] [17]
The APF works to co-ordinate European nationalist parties across the continent. It helped establish the Italy for the Italians coalition composed of APF member New Force along with Tricolour Flame. In 2017 the APF aided in the formation of the National Identity Bloc in Europe coalition, APF members, United Romania Party and Noua Dreaptă joined forces with the Greater Romania Party. [18] In 2019 The APF played a part in forming the ADÑ Identidad Española coalition, composed of APF member National Democracy, FE-JONS, Spanish Alternative and La Falange. [19]
The party also maintains contacts with the former leader of the National Rally, Jean-Marie Le Pen, who was expelled from his party in 2015. [20] He joined the group in March 2018. [21]
The APF maintains contacts with conservative circles in Russia with the group being invited to conferences hosted by the Kremlin. [22] The party supports Vladimir Putin and United Russia's leadership of Russia, especially in the Russo-Ukrainian War and Syrian Civil War. [23] The party is supportive of Alexander Lukashenko and maintains contacts with the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus. [24]
The APF strongly supports Serbian nationalists and is opposed to international recognition of Kosovo, it has worked in the past with the Serbian Radical Party. [25] On 26 September 2021, the APF held a conference in Belgrade hosted by the Serbian Right. [26]
It maintains friendly relations with the Syrian Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party government with deputy chairman, Nick Griffin being invited to Syria by Bashar al-Assad multiple times as an ambassador. [27] Meetings between the party and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party have been held with the AFP publicly supporting the SSNP. [28] The group maintains contacts with Hezbollah and has hosted at least one meeting with Hezbollah leaders. [3] The group has been in regular contact with Lebanese leader Michel Aoun and the ruling Free Patriotic Movement. [29] [ non-primary source needed ]

Jean Louis Vhral Marie Le Pen is a French politician who served as President of the far-right National Front from 1972 to 2011. He also served as Honorary President of the National Front from 2011 to 2015.
Neo-Nazism comprises the post–World War II militant, social, and political movements that seek to revive and reinstate Nazi ideology. Neo-Nazis employ their ideology to promote hatred and racial supremacy, to attack racial and ethnic minorities, and in some cases to create a fascist state.
The National Rally, known as the National Front from 1972 to 2018, is a French nationalist and right-wing populist party in France. It is the largest parliamentary opposition group in the National Assembly; it has seen its candidate reach the second round in the 2002, 2017 and 2022 presidential elections. It is an anti-immigration party, advocating significant cuts to legal immigration and protection of French identity, as well as stricter control of illegal immigration. It also advocates for a 'more balanced' and 'independent' French foreign policy by opposing French military intervention in Africa and by distancing France from the American sphere of influence by leaving NATO's integrated command. It supports reform of the European Union (EU) and its related organisations. It also supports economic interventionism and protectionism, and zero tolerance of breaches of law and order. The party has been accused of promoting xenophobia and antisemitism.
Noua Dreaptă is an ultranationalist, far-right organization in Romania and Moldova, founded in 2000. The party claims to be the successor to the far-right Iron Guard, with its aesthetics and ideology being directly influenced by the fascist movement and its leader, Corneliu Zelea Codreanu.
National Democracy is a far-right political party in Spain, founded in 1995. It is modelled on the National Rally (RN) of France, and grew indirectly out of several defunct parties like the Spanish Circle of Friends of Europe (CEDADE) group and Juntas Españolas. Until 2018, its leader was Manuel Canduela Serrano, a former member of Acción Radical, a group active in the Valencian Community. He was also a vocalist in the so-called "identity" rock group Division 250. The party's current leader is Pedro Chaparro.
The far-right tradition in France finds its origins in the Third Republic with Boulangism and the Dreyfus affair. In the 1880s, General Georges Boulanger, called "General Revenge", championed demands for military revenge against Imperial Germany as retribution for the defeat and fall of the Second French Empire during the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71). This stance, known as revanchism, began to exert a strong influence on French nationalism. Soon thereafter, the Dreyfus affair provided one of the political division lines of France. French nationalism, which had been largely associated with left-wing and Republican ideologies before the Dreyfus affair, turned after that into a main trait of the right-wing and, moreover, of the far right. A new right emerged, and nationalism was reappropriated by the far-right who turned it into a form of ethnic nationalism, blended with anti-Semitism, xenophobia, anti-Protestantism and anti-Masonry. The Action française, first founded as a journal and later a political organization, was the matrix of a new type of counter-revolutionary right-wing, which continues to exist today. During the interwar period, the Action française (AF) and its youth militia, the Camelots du Roi, were very active. Far right leagues organized riots.
Debout la France is a French political party founded by Nicolas Dupont-Aignan in 1999 under the name Debout la République as the "genuine Gaullist" branch of the Rally for the Republic. It was relaunched again in 2000 and 2002 and held its inaugural congress as an autonomous party in 2008. At the 2014 congress, its name was changed to Debout la France.
Neo-nationalism, or new nationalism, is an ideology and political movement built on the basic characteristics of classical nationalism. It developed to its final form by applying elements with reactionary character generated as a reaction to the political, economic and socio-cultural changes that came with globalization during the second wave of globalization in the 1980s.
The European Alliance for Freedom (EAF) was a pan-European political party of right-wing Eurosceptics. It was founded in late 2010, the party was recognised by the European Parliament in 2011. It did not seek registration as a political party with the new Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations in 2016 and was dissolved in the following.
The Alliance of European National Movements (AENM) was a European political party that was formed in Budapest on 24 October 2009 by a number of ultranationalist and far-right parties from countries in Europe.
The Identity and Democracy Party, abbreviated to ID Party and formerly known as the Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom (MENF), is an alliance of nationalist, right-wing populist and eurosceptic European political parties founded in 2014. Its political group in the European Parliament was Europe of Nations and Freedom, which was succeeded in 2019 by Identity and Democracy.
Freedom and Direct Democracy is a political party in the Czech Republic. It is led by Tomio Okamura and it holds 20 seats in the Chamber of Deputies.
Europe of Nations and Freedom was a far-right political group in the European Parliament launched on 15 June 2015. The group was the smallest within the European Parliament during the eighth European Parliament term with 37 members. The largest faction in the group was the French National Rally with 17 MEPs. Twenty-eight members were part of the Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom (MENF), with the remaining nine MEPs being their ideological allies. The ENF was the parliamentary group of the Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom although some MEPs were without any European affiliations.
In political science, the terms radical right, reactionary right and populist right have been used to refer to the range of nationalist, right-wing to far-right parties that have grown in support since the late 1970s in Europe. Populist right groups have shared a number of causes, which typically include opposition to globalisation and immigration, criticism of multiculturalism, and opposition to the European Union, but do not oppose democracy.
Volya Movement is a right-wing populist political party in Bulgaria. Before 2016, it was known variously as Today and Liberal Alliance. The party was established by Bulgarian businessman Veselin Mareshki, ostensibly on principles of anti-corruption and anti-elitism.
The Jeanne Committees is a far-right political party founded by Jean-Marie Le Pen after his exclusion from the National Front in France in 2015.
The Great Replacement, also known as replacement theory or great replacement theory, is a white nationalist far-right conspiracy theory espoused by French author Renaud Camus. The original theory states that, with the complicity or cooperation of "replacist" elites, the ethnic French and white European populations at large are being demographically and culturally replaced by non-white peoples—especially from Muslim-majority countries—through mass migration, demographic growth and a drop in the birth rate of white Europeans. Since then, similar claims have been advanced in other national contexts, notably in the United States. Mainstream scholars have dismissed these claims of a conspiracy of "replacist" elites as rooted in a misunderstanding of demographic statistics and premised upon an unscientific, racist worldview. According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the Great Replacement "has been widely ridiculed for its blatant absurdity."
The Popular Greek Patriotic Union , known more commonly by its acronym, LEPEN (Λ.Ε.Π.ΕΝ.), is a nationalist and far-right political party in Greece.

It is composed of nationalist, right-wing populist and eurosceptic national parties from ten European states. It is the successor to the Europe of Nations and Freedom group formed during the eighth term.
