A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a type of small scale automated guideway transit system. The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks.
The Jacksonville Skyway is an automated people mover in Jacksonville, Florida. It opened in 1989 and is operated by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA). The skyway has three stations in Downtown Jacksonville and was extended in 1996 following a conversion from its original technology to Bombardier Transportation equipment. It was expanded again in 1998 and 2000. The currently fare-free system comprises two routes across 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of track, serving eight stations, and crosses the St. Johns River on the Acosta Bridge. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 276,600, or about 1,200 per day as of the second quarter of 2023.
The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a 2.94-mile (4.73 km) elevated automated people mover system in Detroit, Michigan, United States. The system operates in a one-way loop on a single track encircling downtown Detroit, using Intermediate Capacity Transit System linear induction motor technology developed by the Urban Transportation Development Corporation. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 364,300, or about 1,800 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2023.

Metromover is a free mass transit automated people mover train system operated by Miami-Dade Transit in Miami, Florida, United States. Metromover serves the Downtown Miami, Brickell, Park West and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods. Metromover connects directly with Metrorail at Government Center and Brickell stations. It also connects to Metrobus with dedicated bus loops at Government Center and Adrienne Arsht Center station. It originally began service to the Downtown/Inner Loop on April 17, 1986, and was later expanded with the Omni and Brickell Loop extensions on May 26, 1994.
The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) is the primary public transportation operator serving Detroit, Michigan. In existence since 1922, DDOT is a division of the city government, headed by a director appointed by the mayor. Primarily serving Detroit and its enclaves, DDOT is supplemented by suburban service from the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART). In 2022, the system had a ridership of 9,425,700, or about 35,800 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2023.

The station takes its name from nearby Michigan Avenue. This station, like Times Square serves the new Rosa Parks Transit Center. The former Tiger Stadium site, on Michigan & Trumbull, is also accessible from this station, approximately 1 mile to the west.
Grand Circus Park station is a public transit station in Downtown Detroit, Michigan that services both the Detroit People Mover and the QLine. The station takes its name from the adjacent Grand Circus Park. It is also the terminus of the D2A2 commuter bus to Ann Arbor, and serves as a transfer point to SMART's FAST Michigan and Woodward express bus lines.

Greektown station is a Detroit People Mover station in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located above Beaubien Street with an elevated walkway providing direct connection to the Hollywood Casino on the 3rd level, which was previously the Trappers Alley indoor shopping center.
Renaissance Center station is a Detroit People Mover station in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located at the northeast corner of the Renaissance Center complex, after which the station is named. A skybridge connects the station to the second level of the main tower complex at the base of Tower 200 (Northwest). The Renaissance Center complex is the location of the General Motors headquarters, a Marriott Hotel, the Wintergarden shopping center, and serves as an access point to the Detroit International Riverfront. A skybridge inside the complex also connects to the River East Center.

Located on the fifth level of the Millender Center complex, it serves the Courtyard by Marriott hotel and residential apartments. The building is also connected by two separate skywalks to the Renaissance Center and the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
Financial District station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Located on Larned Street in the city's Financial District, the station is attached to 150 West Jefferson, with direct access from the platform to the building's lobby. Financial District is located across the street from the Buhl Building, home to the headquarters of the Detroit Transportation Corporation and SMART. It is also the nearest station to Hart Plaza, One Woodward Avenue, and the Penobscot and Guardian buildings.
West Riverfront station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located on Steve Yzerman Drive across from the former site of the Joe Louis Arena, near the intersection of 3rd Street and Jefferson Avenue, where M-10 terminates.
Huntington Place station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located inside the Huntington Place convention center, formerly known as Cobo Center and later as TCF Center, on the third floor near Congress Street. The track was originally built out in the open, and later enclosed by Cobo Center's late 1980s expansion. The station opened as an infill station on November 14, 1988, as the last of the system's thirteen stations to open. The track passes above the main convention hall, so passing trains can be heard from portions of the convention floor.
Fort/Cass station is a Detroit People Mover station in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located at the intersection of Fort Street and Cass Avenue. It serves nearby media sources, including newspaper publishers Detroit Free Press, Detroit News and television station WDIV-TV channel 4.
The QLine, originally known as M-1 Rail by its developers, is a 3.3-mile-long (5.3 km) streetcar system in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Opened on May 12, 2017, it connects Downtown Detroit with Midtown and New Center, running along Woodward Avenue (M-1) for its entire route. The system is operated by M-1 Rail, a nonprofit organization.
SEMTA Commuter Rail, also known as the Silver Streak, was a commuter train operated by the Southeastern Michigan Transportation Authority (SEMTA) and the Grand Trunk Western Railroad between Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan. It began in 1974 when SEMTA assumed control of the Grand Trunk's existing commuter trains over the route. SEMTA discontinued operations in 1983. Amtrak began offering intercity service between Detroit and Pontiac in 1994 as part of its Michigan Services.
