[3] Salvador was traded from the St. Louis Blues to the Devils in exchange for Cam Janssen on February 26, 2008. On July 3, 2012, Salvador was re-signed to a three-year contract by the Devils. [7] [8]

[10] Due to lower back injuries, Salvador only played in 94 games after the start of the 2012-13 season. [11]

On September 2, 2015, Salvador announced his retirement after playing for 14 seasons. [12]
