Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) operates all public K-12 schools in Charlotte County, Florida. It covers Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Englewood, Rotonda West, Babcock Ranch, and surrounding areas. It operates ten elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, and six specialty education centers.

History

The roots of the district are traced back to 1888 when the first school building in the area was built on the corner of Marion Street and Harvey Street in Punta Gorda. At the time, African Americans in Charlotte County were not allowed to attend a white school. The first black school was built in 1893; black students were not introduced into the white schools in Charlotte County until 1964. Accelerated growth in the community beginning in 1950 resulted in the rapid expansion of the school district. New, larger schools started popping up all over the county much more rapidly than before. Pasquotank County High School is a school in Elizabeth City, Pasquotank County, North Carolina, USA. PCHS's mascot is the Panther. Its school colors are navy blue and silver. It is one of three high schools in the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools system; the other is Northeastern High School. PCHS was established in 2000 to relieve the population of Northeastern High; however, all members of the senior class of 2001 remained at Northeastern, making the class of 2002 the first graduating class of Pasquotank County High. The class of 2004 was the first group of students to start at the school as freshmen and graduate from there, spending all four years as PCHS Panthers.

The Cedarburg School District is the public school district serving Cedarburg, Wisconsin. It was established in 1886. Established in 1926, Charlotte High is located at 1250 Cooper Street. The school carries the slogan of "Charlotte County's First and Finest" since it remained the only high school in Charlotte County for many years until its top rival schools, Port Charlotte High School and Lemon Bay High School, were built. With 1,596 students, Charlotte High School is the largest high school in Charlotte County by student population.

Carver Middle High School is a public school located in Carver, Massachusetts, United States. This school was formerly two different schools, Carver Middle School (6–8) and Carver High School (9–12) in one building with both schools sharing the library and auditorium. The school became under one principal in 2008–09 school year. This school became officially Carver Middle High School the following school year. It is located at 60 South Meadow Rd. and has an enrollment of 489 students in grades 6–8, and 537 students in grades 9–12. The school's mascot is the Crusaders and the school colors are Maroon and Silver/Gray. The principal is Mrs. Christine Cabral. The assistant principals are Mr. Dillon Antell (6–8) and Mr. Sean McGinnis (9–12)
