The Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team is an American National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) college baseball team from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, the team participates in the Eastern division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and plays its home games on campus at Hawkins Field. Rex Colman Brothers is an American former professional baseball pitcher. After playing college baseball at Lipscomb University, Brothers was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2009 MLB draft. He debuted with the Rockies in 2011 and played for them until 2015. He also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs.
Tyler Joseph Beede is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the first round, with the 21st overall selection, of the 2011 MLB draft, but he turned down a $2.5 million signing bonus to instead attend Vanderbilt University. He played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores, and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants as the 14th pick in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. Beede made his MLB debut in 2018.
