This article is a list of statistics and records relating to Houston Dynamo. The Houston Dynamo is an American professional soccer club based in Houston, Texas. The club was founded in 2006 and plays in Major League Soccer.

Honors

Houston Dynamo's first trophy was the Carolina Challenge Cup, a preseason tournament before the 2006 campaign. Houston went on to win the 2006 MLS Cup before duplicating the feat in the 2007 MLS Cup. They returned to the MLS cup in 2011 and 2012, both times Falling to the host Los Angeles Galaxy. In 2015 the Dynamo won they're third Carolina Challenge Cup and two years later won another preseason tournament, The Desert Diamond Cup. The Dynamo have also won two editions of the U.S. Open Cup. The first in 2018 and the most recent in 2023.

Established on December 15, 2005, the club was founded after their former owners relocated the San Jose Earthquakes' players and staff to Houston following the 2005 season. For their first six seasons in Houston, the Dynamo were based at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. Los Angeles won their third championship, defeating Houston 1–0 off a 72nd-minute goal from Galaxy captain Landon Donovan. David Beckham and Robbie Keane assisted the game's lone goal. With the win, the Galaxy became the first team since the Columbus Crew in 2008 to win both the Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup in the same year.

The 2016 Major League Soccer season featured 20 total clubs. The regular season began on March 6 and ended on October 23. The playoffs began on October 26 and ended on December 10. The defending MLS Cup champions were the Portland Timbers, while the New York Red Bulls were the defending Supporters' Shield winners. FC Dallas won the Supporter's Shield for the first time, and the Seattle Sounders FC won their first MLS Cup in their history after defeating Toronto FC 5–4 in a penalty kick shootout, after playing to a 0–0 result after regulation and added extra time.

The 2017 Houston Dynamo season was the club's 12th season of existence since joining Major League Soccer for the 2006 season. The club's had misse the MLS Cup Playoffs for three consecutive seasons.

The 2018 Houston Dynamo season was the club's 13th season of existence since joining Major League Soccer in the 2006 season. The club entered the campaign coming off its 7th Conference Final appearance in 13 years, the most among any MLS team in that time span. It was the team's second year under the leadership of Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera and fourth season under General Manager Matt Jordan. On the front office end, it was Gabriel Brener's third season as majority owner and Chris Canetti's eighth as the President of Business Operations.

The 2020 FC Dallas season was the club's 25th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of American soccer. FC Dallas was also to participate in the U.S. Open Cup before its cancelation due to the COVID-19 pandemic in North America.
