Jahna Lindemuth (born October 3,1969) is an American attorney who served as the 31st Alaska Attorney General. Lindemuth was appointed by Alaska Governor Bill Walker on June 28,2016,following the resignation of previous Attorney General Craig Richards. [2]
Prior to her appointment as Alaska Attorney General,Lindemuth was Managing Partner of the Anchorage office of Dorsey &Whitney. [2] In January,2016,Lindemuth spoke to the media as a representative of Dorsey &Whitney,following the deliberate crash of an Alaska Civil Air Patrol plane into the firms downtown Anchorage offices. The crash was determined to be an act of suicide by the husband of a member of the firm. [3]
Lindemuth was actively involved in the defense of the Fairbanks Four. She helped gain the men's freedom after they spent many years in prison for a murder conviction in which they were not guilty. [2]
Theodore Fulton Stevens Sr. was an American politician and lawyer who served as a U.S. Senator from Alaska from 1968 to 2009. He was the longest-serving Republican Senator in history at the time he left office. Stevens was the president pro tempore of the United States Senate in the 108th and 109th Congresses from 2003 to 2007,and was the third U.S. Senator to hold the title of president pro tempore emeritus. He was previously Solicitor of the Interior Department from 1960 to 1961. Star Air Service,later Star Air Lines and Alaska Star Airlines was an American air service in Alaska from 1932 to 1944. With financial help from a wealthy Alaska miner,three pilots who had started a flying school and charter business in Seattle,shipped an open-cockpit biplane by steamship to Alaska in March 1932. Star Air Service was incorporated in April,1932 in Anchorage with capitalization of $4,000. The company had some early success training student pilots,but their airplane was destroyed in a crash. Their financial backer helped them purchase a larger plane with an enclosed cabin which supported winter operations.

Suicide by pilot is an aviation event in which a pilot deliberately crashes or attempts to crash an aircraft as a suicide act,with the intention of causing harm to passengers on board or people on the ground. This act is sometimes referred to as a murder–suicide. It is suspected to have been a possible cause in several commercial flight crashes and has been confirmed as the cause in other instances. Determining the motives of pilots can be challenging for crash investigators,as pilots may intentionally disable recording devices or engage in other actions to impede future investigations. Consequently,definitively proving pilot suicide can be difficult.
