The economy of Bahrain is heavily dependent upon oil and gas. The Bahraini Dinar is the second-highest-valued currency unit in the world. Since the late 20th century, Bahrain has heavily invested in the banking and tourism sectors. The country's capital, Manama is home to many large financial structures. Bahrain's finance industry is very successful. In 2008, Bahrain was named the world's fastest growing financial center by the City of London's Global Financial Centres Index. Bahrain's banking and financial services sector, particularly Islamic banking, have benefited from the regional boom driven by demand for oil. Petroleum is Bahrain's most exported product, accounting for 60% of export receipts, 70% of government revenues, and 11% of GDP. Aluminium is the second most exported product, followed by finance and construction materials.

The limited company was formed in 2023, providing training programs for students, and took over the taught degree awarding powers formerly held by the registered educational charity, incorporated by royal charter, now known as the London Foundation for Banking & Finance. It runs the Student Investor Challenge, an initiative in the financial education sector. As of 2023, the Institute has awarded a Young Financial Journalist of the Year award.

It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education, and co-funded with the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.

The Leonard N. Stern School of Business is the business school of New York University, a private research university based in New York City. Founded as the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance in 1900, the school received its current name in 1988.

Bahrain, officially the Kingdom of Bahrain, is an island country in West Asia. Women in Bahrain are discriminated in every aspect of their life and their personal liberties are severely restricted, both by the laws of Bahrain and by Bahraini society in general. Only one-quarter of women in Bahrain hold jobs outside of the household. Bahraini Women's Day is annually celebrated on December 1.

"Royal University for Women" (RUW) in West Riffa, Kingdom of Bahrain is the first private, purpose-built, international university in the country that is dedicated solely to educating women. Established in 2005, the initial degree programmes of the university were designed in collaboration with McGill University in Canada and Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. Among the courses offered by the university are Bachelor of Arts degrees in fashion design, graphic design, and interior design; Bachelor of Science degree in architecture; as well as Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Business degrees in [banking and finance], human resources, international business, and marketing. Master of Design Management, Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting, Master of Business Administration.

Amin Mahmoud is a Jordanian politician, educator and author. He has served three times as a member of the cabinet of Ministers of Jordan, once as a member of the XXIV Senate of Jordan, and is currently serving as a member of the XXVI senate council. He has also held the position of president of four Jordanian universities. His written works include a wide range of books, research papers and published articles in the fields of history, education and other public issues.

Ahli United Bank is a regional bank based in Bahrain. Its head office is situated at Manama and is the largest bank in Bahrain. It is present in 8 countries in the Middle East and United Kingdom. Ahli United bank's ordinary shares are listed on Bahrain Stock Exchange since August 2000 and the Kuwait Stock Exchange since June 2006.
