Nawabagh is the notified area and village in Ganderbal district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The place is famous for the production of apples, cherries, peaches, apricots, walnuts, and pears, which are exported all over India. The varieties of apples that grow in the area include the American apple, Delicious, Golden, Kullu Delicious, Amur, Red Gold, Razak Wari and Maharaji. The postal code of the area is 193501. [5]

The area is located about 1619 m above mean sea level in Mumbai. [6] The nearby villages of the area include Wakura, Batwina, Zazna, Badampora, Khanpura, Manasbal, Waskura, Ahan, Kharbagh and Gazhuma.

There are about 85 families residing in the village with the population of touching 800. Kashmiri is the native language of the people residing in the area and people also use Hindi/Urdu and English.

Zazna is a village in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The village provides a number of apple varieties, including 'Delicious' and 'American'. Zazna is somewhat between a village and a town, and is located on the Srinagar-Leh highway equidistant from Srinagar and Kangan, being nearly 25 km away from both. There is a fruit and vegetable Mandi in Zazna, where people from many local areas sell their fruits. There is also a playground suitable for cricket, football and volleyball. Agriculture is the main source of economy. The major part of income of the inhabitants comes from apples and other fruits such as cherries, pears and walnut. On one side of Zazna are high mountains which serve as grasslands for cattle grazing.

While there are also a large number of people throughout Kashmir who claim Pashtun ancestry through forefathers who migrated to the region under the Afghan rule in Kashmir. While exact numbers are hard to determine, cursory estimates put the number of these Pathans or Pashtuns above 100,000. Many of these Pathans have over time absorbed Kashmiriyat and use Kashmiri language as their second language, although some people following Pashtunwali customs and aspects of Pashtun culture and Pashto are still notably practiced among the community, largely of them resides in district Ganderbal (gutlibagh)and Anantnag, there are also Pathans in district Kishtwar and Baramulla

Safapora, also pronounced as Safapur is a model village in Ganderbal District, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is 13 km (8.1 mi) away from district headquarter Ganderbal and 30 km (19 mi) away from the summer capital Srinagar via Sumbal as well as via Ganderbal. Manasbal Lake, the deepest lake in India, is located in Safapora and is surrounded by two Mughal gardens built by Nur Jahan, Qazi bagh and Jarokha Bagh. There is a Wullar Manasbal development authority run by state government in Safapora. The area serves as the education hub for the adjoining areas of Chanderger, Hakbara, Asham, Chewa, and Kondabal. In addition, some students from Bandipora District also prefer to receive their education in Safapora. The Safapora area has also good literacy rate. Safapora is also a tourist destination and most tourists visit the Manasbal Lake, the surrounding two parks, Fisheries, and ancient temples.

Buchpora is a town on the outskirts of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated on Srinagar-Leh Highway on the eastern side of Anchar Lake. The postal code of the area is 190020. The area is about 12.1 km (7.5 mi) north from Lal Chowk. Most of the current inhabitants of the area are migrants from Downtown Srinagar. During the project of widening the roads in Downtown, numerous houses obstructing the widening of roads were shattered down. Wagoora is a tehsil in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Its pincode is 193109. It is a town in Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir, located about 20 kilometres from District headquarter Baramulla, 13 kilometres from famous apple town Sopore and 49 kilometres from Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir. It is known for its production of apples. The population of Wagoora town is more than 2829 as per 2011 census and a literacy rate of 71.29%. Wagoora town, which was given the Tehsil status recently in the year 2013 is a Block Headquarter and is thus a centre of socio-economic and political-social needs of this vast area of Ningli region of North Kashmir. Ningli is a tributary of Jhelum River and is the main source of irrigation and drinking water to Wagoora tehsil and the only source of water to villages like Kreeri and Thindma, which are devoid of water resources. Besides Ningli a distributory of Ningli Viz Khalri also plays its part in irrigating a vast area of agricultural land of the town.

Wakura is the village located in Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. In 2013 it was given Tehsil status with Tehsil headquarters located in the same village.
