The first case of COVID-19 related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. state of Oklahoma was confirmed on March 7, 2020. The first related death in Oklahoma occurred on March 15. On July 21, Oklahoma public health authorities reported 1,714 new cases of COVID-19, a new daily record by over 600 cases, for a cumulative total of 27,147 cases. Nine deaths were reported over the previous 24 hours, increasing the state's COVID-19 death toll to 461. Today's death toll is the largest single day increase since May 5, 2020. Since the beginning of June, the seven day moving average of new COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma has risen over ten fold, from 69 per day on June 1 to 773 cases per day on July 21.
