RadioReverb is a Brighton based non-profit community radio station. The station broadcasts on 97.2 FM and DAB radio as well as online, to the Brighton and Hove area.
RadioReverb originally started by broadcasting as a Restricted Service Licences during Brighton Festival in 2004. In December 2005, it was awarded a Community Radio licence, [1] and commenced broadcasting on 26 March 2007. [2]
The station describes itself as "Brighton’s radio alternative, a community radio station that is working to create access to the airwaves and make a real difference for the people living here". [3]
The station moved to Brighton's Open Market in September 2016, having previously been located on Old Steine. [4]
RadioReverb hosts a diverse offering of music, speech, and community programming. Long-running music shows include Ears Wide Open, Slipstreem, Eclectic Chair, Dusty Groove Jukebox Show, Currently Off Air, and English Disco Lovers . Community and speech programming includes that for the LGBT community: Out In Brighton (its presenter Kathy Caton having been shortlisted for a National Diversity Award), [5] Time 4T, and HIV Hour; [6] those with learning disability: Carousel Radio; [7] the local migrant community: Refugee Radio ; and local football supporters: Albion Roar.
The station also runs radio-based training comprising presenting, programme planning, interviewing skills and live studio broadcasting. [8]
Chorley FM was a radio station based in Chorley, Lancashire, England. The station was created by volunteers back in 2001 to broadcast a special two week licence in conjunction with the Midsummer Festival which was located on Botany Bay near the M61.
BBC Radio Solent is the BBC's local radio station serving Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight, broadcasting on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios on Havelock Road in Southampton.
Cam FM is a student-run radio station at the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University. The station broadcasts online and has an FM frequency of 97.2 MHz. The station opened studios at Anglia Ruskin University and Fitzwilliam College and started broadcasting in 2012 from these locations after having spent its first 32 years located in Churchill College. Cam FM once held the world record for the longest team broadcast marathon, at 76 hours, and following the significant technical overhaul as a result of the two new studios in 2012, provided the first-ever broadcast media coverage of the Oxford vs Cambridge Women's Boat Race from Dorney Lake, as well as live outside broadcasts from Newmarket Races and the Varsity Ski Trip.
Capital Brighton was a local radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Capital radio network. It served the Brighton and Hove area broadcasting on 107.2 FM and across Sussex on DAB.
3CR is a community radio station that broadcasts on the AM band and on the digital spectrum as 3CR Digital in Melbourne, Australia. It features mainly talk-based programs with political and environmental themes, as well as some music and community language-based programs. Today the station hosts over 130 programs presented by over 400 volunteers.

Spark is a community radio station serving 15- to 30-year-olds in the Sunderland area. Spark carries a variety of content catering for both mainstream and niche musical audiences, specialising in chart hits and new music throughout the day, and specialist programming after 7 pm. The radio station broadcasts on 107.00FM and online via the station's website. The official launch of Spark took place at the new £12 million CitySpace building in the centre of the city of Sunderland.

Juice Radio is a community radio station based in Preston, Lancashire, which broadcasts pop and dance music. It was initially established in 2008 as Preston FM before relaunching in 2015 as City Beat, subsequently known as Beat 103. On the 8th of January 2024 the station merged into the digital radio station Juice Radio, which took over the 103.2 MHz frequency used by Beat.
Takeover Radio is a community radio station broadcasting on FM to Leicester and online. It also has a sister station, that broadcasts to the Ashfield district in Nottinghamshire. Takeover Radio specialises in helping children gain experience and direct participative involvement in radio broadcasting.
