Sha Tin College (STC) is a co-educational international secondary school in Hong Kong and a member of the English Schools Foundation.
Established in 1982 as the Shatin Annexe based in the campus of KGV School in Kowloon Tong,the school relocated to 3 Lai Wo Lane,Fo Tan,in 1985,adopting its present name. [2]
For the 2020–2021 school year,the school had 1389 students. [3] In 2020,65.8 percent of students were Chinese,a total of 894 students. The next largest group was Eurasians,then Caucasians. [1]
Sha Tin College currently follows the IBDP curriculum. Year 12–13 students have the option to choose between the IBDP and the IBCP (IB Career-related Programme).
Sha Tin College's IBDP program achieved a 40–40 status (where over 40% of students achieve 40 points or above). One student at the college achieved the world's highest IGCSE maths score. [4]
Due to the school's location in the Hills as well as for logistical reasons,Sha Tin College has been a filming location for several TV shows and movies,most noticeably Fight Back to School [5]
Sha Tin District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. As one of the 9 districts located in the New Territories, it covers the areas of Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Ma On Shan, Fo Tan, Siu Lek Yuen, Kwun Yam Shan and Ma Liu Shui. The district is the most populous district in Hong Kong, with a population of 659,794 as per 2016 by-census, having a larger population than many states or dependencies including Iceland, Malta, Montenegro and Brunei.

St Stephen's College is a Christian Direct Subsidy Scheme co-educational secondary school in Stanley, Hong Kong. With an area of about 150,000 m2, the college is the largest secondary school in Hong Kong, and is one of the very few boarding schools in the territory. Many buildings in the campus are listed in the list of historic Buildings and Declared Monuments by the Antiquities Advisory Board. When the college was founded in 1903, there were only six boarders and one day student; in the academic year 2014–2015, there were approximately 910 students studying in the college. The current principal is Mrs Julie Ma, commencing duty since 2023. St Stephen's College mainly uses English as a medium of instruction, and Chinese language for Chinese, Chinese history, Putonghua, visual arts and physical education. St Stephen's College is the first school in the territory having its own Heritage Trail in the school campus. The college's oldest building, the School House, was declared a monument in 2011, being one of the few schools in Hong Kong to own a Declared Monument in its campus.
