A la Carte is quite a well known French expression (meaning "according to the card") which is used worldwide. The album cover is a satirical take on this, as it shows a green pig's head, wearing headphones and eating a vinyl disc.

A stand-alone single was released in 1984 called "Die Braut und der Matrose", released on 7inch and in Austria on Catalogue number EMI Columbia 1333337. Although this song isn't on the album, it is actually a variation of the album title "Aloahe". The B side featured a variation of this track called "Version Mandy und die Rehleins" (Mandy and Deer Flax Version).
Again in 1984, on 7inch and in Austria only, "Go Karli Go" was released on catalogue number EMI Columbia 1333457. B side featured "Wir jetten".
"Schweine-Funk" was released on Austrian only 7inch in 1984. Catalogue number was EMI Columbia 1333467. Liebelei was on the B side. Strangely enough, Liebelei also featured on an Austrian promo 7inch (again Austrian only) and it had "Schweine-Funk" on its B-side.
In 1985 "Liebelei" was released again on Austrian only 7inch on catalogue number EMI Columbia 1333477. This time it featured "Die Intellektuellen" on the B side.

The music is credited to Ralf Hütter, Florian Schneider and Karl Bartos; the lyrics are credited to Hütter and Maxime Schmitt, a French label associate of the band. The melody appears to quote a fragment of the opening section of Paul Hindemith's "Sonata for Flute and Piano".

It was released on October 21, 1984, by EMI Records as the first single from the EP. The song was written by Madonna and produced by Benitez. They had initially met in 1983 and Benitez worked as a producer on Madonna's self-titled debut album. When he started work on his debut EP, Wotupski!?!, Madonna wrote "Sidewalk Talk" for him. The song features bass and electric guitars, synthesizers, piano as well drums. Lead vocals are sung by Catherine Buchanan, and additional chorus vocals by Madonna.

The Shadows is an EP by The Shadows, released in January 1961. The EP is a 7-inch vinyl record and released in mono with the catalogue number Columbia SEG 8061 and in stereo with the catalogue number Columbia ESG 7834. The song, and wider album, emerged from an era which saw the rise of Blaxploitation films. Such films represented the struggle of African Americans against poverty and crime under a white-dominated society. While Sexy, Sexy, Sexy was received well by contemporary and modern audiences alike, it received negative reviews from critics. Brown used the same backing track and chord progression from his 1966 hit Money Won't Change You when composing the song, which prompted such a poor critical response. Despite Brown's Plagiarism of his earlier work, Sexy, Sexy, Sexy showcased the typical funk hallmarks of his more popular work. The song performed strongly on three separate Billboard charts as well as the Cashbox chart. It appeared in three separate releases under music label Polydor Records and reissued in 2020.
