Rore is a lake in the municipalities of Grimstad and Arendal in Aust-Agder county, Norway. This lake, which is used as a reservoir, lies mostly in Grimstad. There is a public beach area at the southern end of the lake, near the village of Roresand. The lake is located in the Landvik area, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) from the center of the town of Grimstad.
Syndle is a lake in the municipality of Grimstad in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the Landvik area, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northwest of the center of the town of Grimstad. The 6-square-kilometre (2.3 sq mi) lake Syndle flows into a small river on the northeast part of the lake which connects it to the neighboring lake Rore which eventually flows into the river Nidelva.
Landvik is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. The 190.7-square-kilometre (73.6 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1971. The municipality's area is now located in the western and central part of the present-day municipality of Grimstad. The administrative centre was the village of Roresanden, just up the hill from the Landvik Church. Other villages in Landvik include Molland, Reddal, Skiftenes, Tjore, and Østerhus. Today, the name Landvik is still used to designate the westernmost part of the town of Grimstad, near the Prestegårdskogen housing development.

Østerhus Church is a parish church in Grimstad municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Østerhus. The church is part of the Landvik parish in the Vest-Nedenes deanery in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The small church was built in 1980 out of concrete and wood. It seats about 150 people. Typically, this church holds worship services every other Sunday except during the summer months.
Fevik Church is a parish church in Grimstad municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Fevik. The church is part of the Fjære parish in the Vest-Nedenes deanery in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, concrete and wood church was built in 1976. It seats about 100 people. Originally, the church was a prayer house run by various associations. In 2005, it was taken over by the Fjære parish of the Church of Norway.
Engene Church is a parish church in Arendal municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Nedenes. It is the church for the Øyestad parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was originally built in 1849 using designs by the architect Wilhelm Hanstein, however, at that time, it was located in the nearby town of Grimstad and it was called Grimstad Church. In 1881, the town had grown and the church was too small, so it was disassembled and moved to nearby Nedenes and rebuilt in 1882 as the new "Nedenesengene Church", but it was later shortened to simply "Engene Church". The church seats about 480 people.
