[ep.i.phan.ic] [1] is the fourth and final full-length album by Southampton, UK based rock band Howards Alias. The band started taking pre-orders for the album on 5 June 2008 and used the money from these to pay for the album's pressing, which was then sent out to those who ordered [2] also with a note from the band themselves.[ citation needed ]

It is an electronic record foremost but using more traditional drums and percussion, ex-Propellerheads member Will White contributes drums, along with a number of ethnic sounding instruments, which tie in with the band's description of the album suggesting "the deserts of the middle east to the rain forests of Brazil". A CD version of the album was released on 13 October 2008.
