10 Millionen Partys is the sixth studio album released by Joachim Witt in 1988. It is the first album Witt released after moving to RCA, and sees Witt return to singing German lyrics. [1]
The album follows Witt's unsuccessful attempt on Moonlight Nights to shift audiences toward jazz and swing with lyrics sung in English. Those English lyrics were criticized by German critics as trite, and they felt the same way about the lyrics on this album. The music was described as a mix between Depeche Mode and the Pet Shop Boys. The album did not enjoy commercial success, [2] nor did the three singles it spawned, "Engel sind zart", "Pet Shop Boy" und "Der Tankwart heißt Lou." [3]

Neue Deutsche Welle is a genre of West German rock music originally derived from post-punk and new wave music with electronic influences. The term was first coined by Dutch radio DJ Frits Spits on the popular nationwide radio station Hilversum 3, which was very popular among German listeners. Soon after that, the term was used in a record-shop advertisement by Burkhardt Seiler in an August 1979 issue of the West German magazine Sounds. It was then used by journalist Alfred Hilsberg in an article about the movement titled "Neue Deutsche Welle — Aus grauer Städte Mauern" in Sounds in October 1979.
Very is the fifth studio album by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 27 September 1993 by Parlophone, nearly three years after the duo's previous studio album, Behaviour, and following the compilation album Discography: The Complete Singles Collection. The duo consisted of singer AnNa R. and musician Peter Plate, who occasionally provided vocals. Rosenstolz achieved major chart success after the nineties, with five studio albums going to No. 1 in the German albums chart. Although the duo split up to pursue separate music careers, they left open the possibility of a future reunion.
Shhh is the fifth studio album by the band Chumbawamba. It was originally written and recorded as Jesus H. Christ, an album that relied heavily on samples. The band was unable to procure rights to a number of the songs they sampled, however, and the album was largely re-worked to defend artistic intent and criticize censorship. The album sleeve artwork itself incorporated various rejection letters received by the band denying the rights to the Christ samples. "Shhh" is considered by many to be a "genre landmark."
