Jonathan, a member of a cadet branch of the Drengot family, was the Duke of Gaeta from 1113 until his death. He is known from the Codex Caietanus to have been in the fourth year of his minority in 1116 and the seventh of his rule in 1119. There are three theories of his paternity. He may have been the son of Count Jonathan I of Carinola or his grandson by an unnamed son, or else the grandson of Count Bartholomew of Carinola. He was under the regency of his cousin or uncle, Count Richard of Carinola.
Bernard Delemotte was a French underwater diver and photographer who was a member of the oceanographic research team of the Cousteau Society, founded by Jacques-Yves Cousteau. He participated as a diver, underwater cameraman and expedition team leader in various Cousteau Society's projects such as the ones featured in the television series The Cousteau Odyssey filmed between 1977 and 1982.
Bernard of Carinola, also known as Bernard of Capua, was Bishop of Carinola. He was the confessor of Duke Richard II of Capua until appointed the Bishop of Forum Claudii in 1087 by Pope Victor III. He was later transferred to the see of Carinola in 1100. He died in extreme old age in 1109 and is now venerated as the principal patron of Carinola.
