122nd Separate Airmobile Battalion is a battalion of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces and is subordinated to the 81st Airmobile Brigade. It was established in 2014 based on the 3rd Airborne Battalion of the 80th Air Assault Brigade. It has seen combat in multiple battles during the war in Donbas and Russian invasion of Ukraine. It's also amongst the battalions of Cyborgs for its defense of the Donetsk Airport.
The battalion was established as a part of the 81st Airmobile Brigade in 2014 based on the 3rd Airborne Battalion of the 80th Air Assault Brigade and was immediately deployed to Donetsk Airport and took part in the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport from December 2014 till the end of the battle. [1] A soldier (Kushnir Yury Ivanovich) was killed on 18 January. [2] On 19 January 2015, a soldier of the battalion (Buzenko Volodymyr Petrovych) was killed in combat in the terminal of the Donetsk Airport. [3] [4] [5] A soldier of the battalion (Valentin Leonidovych Opanasenko) [6] and the battalion's assistant commander (Andriy Mykolayovych Karpyuk) [7] were killed on 20 January 2015 as a result of the collapse of a terminal of Donetsk Airport due to separatist shelling.
In early 2015, the battalion saw combat near Avdiivka, and on 3 April 2015, a soldier of the battalion (Andriy Mykolayovych Karpyuk) along with two other soldiers of the 81st Brigade was killed and two more wounded with one succumbing to his injuries two days later. [8]
In early 2016, the battalion saw action during the battle for Niu York with a soldier of the battalion (Valentin Mykolayovych Churikov) being killed on 7 April 2016 as a result of shelling [9] and another soldier (Serhii Volodymyrovych Isaev) being killed on 25 April 2016 as a result of a mine explosion. [10] Throughout 2016, the battalion also saw heavy combat in Avdiivka with a soldier of the battalion (Andriy Mykolayovych Popov) being killed on 26 June 2016 [11] and another soldier (Taras Mykolayovych Novoselov) being killed the next day. [12] On 6 July 2016, the battalion's positions in Avdiivka were shelled by separatists killing two soldiers of the battalion (Oleg Lysevych Stepanovych [13] and Sergeyev Volodymyr Ihorovych [14] ) and wounding three others. The battalion's positions were again shelled on the night of 13 July 2016 near Avdiivka using mortar and artillery killing a soldier of the battalion (Mamchiy Stanislav Yuriyovych). [15] On 24 July 2016, three paratroopers of the battalion engaged a separatist squad near Avdiivka, although the paratroopers were outnumbered but still the paratroopers inflicted heavy casualties on the separatists but amongst the three, two (Arsienko Ruslan Leonidovych [16] and Golub Oleh Volodymyrovych [17] ) were killed and the third unknown paratrooper was wounded. On 17 August 2016, the battalion's positions in Avdiivka were again shelled by separatists using mortars killing a soldier of the battalion (Serhii Petrovych Kovalchuk) of the battalion. [18] On 16 September 2016, while performing a combat demining mission in Avdiivka during which a soldier of the battalion (Tryvolenko Vladyslav Volodymyrovych) was killed as a result of mine explosion while saving the lives of other personnel. [19]
The battalion engaged separatists in Chermalyk in 2019 with a soldier of the battalion (Fursov Yevhen Oleksandrovych) being killed on 23 February 2019 as a result of a direct ATGM hit. [20]
On 14 February 2021, an explosion went off in Novoluhanske killing three soldiers including one soldier of the battalion (Myronenko Dmytro Olegovich), the cause of the explosion wasn't determined. [21] [22] [23] [24]
On 17 November 2022, the battalion was awarded the honorary award "For Courage and Bravery" for its actions during the Russo-Ukrainian war. [25]
On 6 February 2024, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a soldier of the battalion (Ivan Ivanovych Honcharenko) was killed in action while defending his position in Bilohorivka, Luhansk Oblast [26] and was posthumously awarded the "Hero of Ukraine", the highest military award for Ukrainian personnel. The 13th Separate Airmobile Battalion is a formation of the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces. The Battalion is composed of fully professional soldiers. The main purpose of the Battalion is to take part in peacekeeping operations.
The Battle of Marinka was a short battle in the war in Donbas in and around Marinka, Donetsk Oblast which took place on 3 June 2015. Ukrainian forces fought the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic's (DPR) Republican Guard and Pyatnashka Brigade under Akhra Avidzba. The town of Marinka was briefly seized by DPR forces before it was recaptured by the Ukrainians.

503rd Separate Marine Bataillon is a bataillon of the 38th Marine Brigade. It was established in late 2015 as a part of the Ukrainian Navy's 36th Marine Brigade as the 701st Marine Battalion but was transferred to the Ukrainian Marine Corps in 2018. It became a part of the 38th Marine Brigade in February 2023 which was established on the basis of the battalion. It is garrisoned at Mariupol.
The 3rd Border Detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevgeny Pikus, also known as Pomsta Brigade, is an assault brigade of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine that is part of the Offensive Guard.
18th Marine Battalion is a battalion of the Ukrainian Marine Corps' 35th Marine Brigade and was formerly attached to the 28th Mechanized Brigade. The 1st Operational Battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Serhii Kulchytskyi is a volunteer Battalion of the 1st Presidential Brigade, a part of the Offensive Guard of the National Guard of Ukraine. It is an all volunteer Battalion with its personnel being the former members of Maidan Defense and other paramilitary groups established by the Ukrainian opposition during the Revolution of Dignity. It was established in 2014 and is garrisoned at Novi Petrivtsi. It's a highly combat effective formation and has seen heavy combat during both the War in Donbass and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Myrotvorets Battalion is a regiment of the Liut Brigade of the Special Tasks Patrol Police subordinated to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The regiment is based at the headquarters of National Academy of Internal Affairs in Kyiv. It was established in 2014 and has, since then seen regular combat on the frontlines in addition to special counter-crime operations in Kyiv Oblast.

The detachment guards the Ukraine-Moldova border in three Raions of the Odessa Oblast, with a total length of 401,551 km, 308,286 km on land, 64,965 km on river and 28.3 km on lake.
The Forpost Brigade (MUN 2382) formerly the Kramatorsk Border Detachment is a brigade level detachment of the Eastern Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The detachment guarded the ATO zone contact line in Donetsk Oblast prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine following which it saw direct combat against Russian forces and was expanded to a brigade in 2024. The detachment guards contact length of 132 km.
The Lutsk Border Detachment (MUN 9971) is a brigade level detachment of the Western Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The detachment guards the Poland-Ukraine border and the Ukraine-Belarus border in two Raions of Rivne Oblast and two Raions of Volyn Oblast. The detachment guards a total border length of 545.5 km, 395 km in Volyn Oblast including 190 km with Poland, including 128 km along the Western Bug River and 205 km with Belarus and 150.5 km in Rivne Oblast with Belarus.
